Being a new mom is hard especially during a pandemic. I hardly leave the house and when I do I get bombarded with maskless women wanting to peak at baby. As much as I love the attention and compliments. You need to put your masks on and back up. Us new moms are scared. I hate confrontation and whenever it's about a mask it turns political for some stupid reason. Please just respect us moms and our new babies and be courteous and respectful.

Don't be nice to these maskless invading your space people. Tell them in no uncertain terms to FUCK OFF!

This was annoying prior to pandemic. Don't touch someone else's baby. Why is that hard to understand?

6 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

GET THE FUCK AWAY FROM HER BABY!!!! I'm looking at you EVERYONE!!

It was exactly the same in the before times during the colder months. People with runny noses and coughs getting too close.

Im sorry i personally know how you feel as a new father it is incredibly difficult and you also have to deal with friend's and family wh

6 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Who want to hold the baby etc. And you have to balance all that with their safety. Its difficult and i wish the the best. Stay safe

6 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

It is especially my 85 year old grandparents all they wanna do is see baby. Covid sucks

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I understand that completely, i was fortunate that we had our son right before covid.. my parents got to hold him before this whole thing.

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

New parent here in Canada. I have the same problem outside where masks aren't required. Always boomers. So clueless

6 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Which province? I heard Ontario recently made masks mandatory in public. I'm in BC

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Not outside no, at least not in Ottawa. Just inside (and maybe public outside places like fenced in areas? Not sure)

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Hmm, sucks. I keep seeing so many people here in groups with no masks

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

My mom used to have this plastic cover that draped over our strollers when it rained, would something like this help?

6 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I use a light breathable blanket and cover over her stroller but then she eventually freaks out because she can't see me. I'll look for som-

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Something clear thank you for the idea!

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Unpopular opinion but don’t lean into a baby even when the world was fine I don’t know you and leave my child alone

6 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

My oldest is 3 and I regularly had to tell people in public not to touch her face and had to slap a few hands away

6 years ago | Likes 25 Dislikes 0

It's my automatic default to step back to admire babies.

6 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Last week at aldis 2 maskless ladies were blocking the entrance having a full conversation as if nobody else existed in the world

6 years ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 0

This happens at the pharmacy I used to use. Older folks had to push through antimaskers to get in. I spoke up publicly and got death threats

6 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

Aldi's delivery is pretty good where I live. It comes super quick. Haven't set foot in that store in years.

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

OMG Aldi delivers? I have to check this out immediately, I love their stuff

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

oh no. The only deliver special items.. no food. Now I am sad. And this in their home country

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

hmm, in the US, they deliver everything. I guess they do it through InstaCart as a partnership maybe?

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I had my daughter before the pandemic and this stressed me out so I can imagine how hard it would be now! Little old ladies especially

6 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Don’t feel bad. You’ll feel worse if your kid gets sick. You’re being a good mom protecting your child!

6 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I've seen plenty of couples in my store with their infant while both parents are shopping. Why not have one stay home with the child?

6 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 2

Exactly! We’ve only taken our baby to an outdoor nursery/home goods store. No need to bring them indoors where adults can’t follow rules

6 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

I take my 5m old into stores with me. I put the rain cover over the stroller when we're inside. I call it the baby sneeze guard.

6 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

That's funny.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Grocery shopping for a family is a pain if you're alone. Also it can be the only way either one of the parents gets out of the house.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

But you're still bringing your infant out during a pandemic.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I might not bring it out if I lived in USA or some other hotspot. It's a viewpoint from elsewhere, perhaps more suitable in another time.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I would assume it’s caused by lack of trust in the relationship. One of the partners believes the other one can’t shop or babysit alone.

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Maybe it's because of their work schedules (like one on 1st and one on swings), it's not always immediately due to distrust in each other.

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

We just keep the plastic rain cover on when inside a place. The Mrs don't like to fuss but I had to tell an old lady to f*ck off cos of this

6 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

The 20 down votes are those fuck tards

6 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Protect your 2nd amendment rights, open carry and shot those Bastards.

People are dumb

6 years ago | Likes 341 Dislikes 5

And selfish

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

That’s being overly polite

6 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Honestly it's just selfish. You know who hasn't developed a full immune system - new borns.

6 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Welcome to the show

6 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I stopped an old woman from touching my newborn at Cracker Barrel. Covid wasn't even in the US yet. Don't touch my God damn children.

6 years ago | Likes 30 Dislikes 0

v

6 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

yeah I have a newborn and I barley take her anywhere. when we do I cover the stroller with a muslin(breathable and light) blanket.

6 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

I'm starting to think I should paint "stay 6 feet away" on my stroller cover

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

No. If you do this during a pandemic, or in winter, or if the parent tell you not to, or if they look uncomfortable, YOU DON"T MEAN WELL.

6 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 0

Get a spray bottle and fill it with hand sanitizer. Spray them while yelling "6 feet".

6 years ago | Likes 35 Dislikes 1

I just might start doing this ?

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I just bring my arms up and twirl in spot.

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

But seriously, I have a 9 month old. I pull the stroller away and tell them "no" then keep going. I've stopped caring about being polite.

6 years ago | Likes 23 Dislikes 0

I don't blame you. I feel that we are a bit beyond being polite when 200k+ are dead and many more will be crippled for life.

6 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

people are weird. I don't even touch a dog without asking permission.

6 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 0

Thank you! - from a fear reactive dog owner

6 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Thanks for doing this. I've had kids lunge at my dog out of nowhere. Luckily, he's a very chill dog, that could have been bad.

6 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

... but the dog gave me permission. Hi there. Pets please.

6 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Why do people do this??? They think they can just touch babies without permission??

6 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

Yes.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I'm 8mos pregnant. I'm lucky now, people just think I'm fat. But when the baby's born, I'm gonna be the most bitchy overprotective mama bear

6 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

A lot of people are literally just incredibly dumb animals. Devoid of all self-awareness.

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

You know that Cheer, "be aggressive" start playing it in your head.

6 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

just get one of these

6 years ago | Likes 437 Dislikes 1

I don’t wear a mask because I have asthma but I’m still not stupid enough to get in the face of a baby

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 2

That's shit looks like a portable grill.

6 years ago | Likes 52 Dislikes 0

Well, if you leave it in the sun you'll get a crispy toddler.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Oh, the heresy!!

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 2

Can I find them on Amazon? ??

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I went into a store and none of the people makkng and serving food were wearing a mask. The south is great but some of the people here...

6 years ago | Likes 103 Dislikes 4

Makes me proud of the DC area. Just about everyone wears a mask here, especially inside/in confined areas.

6 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

I'm in charles town which people commute from in theory though most work from home now. About 80% wear masks.

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

The day they lifted the mask mandate in Florida, every Publix employee acted like they never heard of a mask. I have to shop elsewhere now.

6 years ago | Likes 58 Dislikes 1

Florida here, so glad my publix still has a sign for masks please. I'd hate to have to go elsewhere, mother of many by the way.

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

California restaurants are no different in some places. People just suck sometimes :(

6 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 1

Dude, I walked into a barber shop before my anniversary, and there was like 10 people in about 500sqft, no one wearing a mask.Freaked me out

6 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Yeah, id have turned around and left.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

that's exactly what i did, and scheduled an appt with another place that had a sign saying masks were required

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Mine is 3m old. Has only been outside for vax shots at doc office. We are too scared. Feels really sad. I wanted to show her summer time.

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I'm serious about this, look pissed. Like you're ready to low key kill someone. Projecting anger will keep people away, walk with a purpose

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

And then it's the actual grandparents doing it first!!!! And they get offended when you tell them. Soo stressful,!!

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

A lady at the supermarket got mad at my wife because she said our baby was cute my wife said thanks and kept walking ½

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

She got all indignant and said "you are supposed to stop when people say you have a cute baby so we can look at them " http://i.imgur.com/8

Women always want to get up all in babies faces. Even without a pandemic, you don't know this child they don't know you, back the fuck up.

6 years ago | Likes 295 Dislikes 15

i dont nothigb scares me more than being neara newborn, rerrified it will explode or soemthing theyre so fragile

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Nah man babies are gross, I stay as far away from them as possible

6 years ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 2

Hi, woman here. Don't like babies belonging to the family. You have some creepy ass motherfuckers who look at babies without asking.

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I used to scratch peoples faces when I was a baby cause I hated them getting up on my face. One of my Aunts still has scars from me. :)

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I had a friend who got oral herpes because someone kissed her as a baby.

6 years ago | Likes 63 Dislikes 4

50-80% of US adults have HSV1. She could've gotten it anywhere at any time.

6 years ago | Likes 22 Dislikes 7

It is especially dangerous to babies though. It’s can lead to death.

She's my good friend and would have no reason to lie to me.

6 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 3

And even if she got it from giving a dude a blowie, I wouldn't care.

6 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 1

My husband and all his siblings and cousins have it from their grandma who insisted on kissing on the mouth even when she had cold sores.

6 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Exactly! There's whooping cough and other diseases, women that scout for human trafficking, so much potential for disaster.

6 years ago | Likes 20 Dislikes 0

Take that q bullshit elsewhere please..

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 17

Take that framing basic intelligent caution as conspiracy wackjob elsewhere please. There's fucked up people in the world. Deal with it.

6 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

no, most of it comes from family members so that woman is just talking out her ass

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

If you walked up to an adult and went on kissing them and telling them how cute they are, you'd get the cops called on you. (Or a date?)

6 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

But it’s actually even creepier when you consider these are grown adults touching a young child. Like wtf

6 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

there is a difference between the two. there is *normally* nothing sexual about touching/kissing a baby and we are hardwired to want to

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

it can provide additional immuno responses in the baby which is good for them, BUT that doesnt mean you randomly do it to unknown babies
