Someone realized it's easier to drive over the curbs this way in GTA than in real life

Driving so roughly that even the car had to throw up...

2 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

There was learning' done that day, kids man. =:D My son roached his little GTI in high school, driving like a testosterone fueled moron. I fixed it well enough to keep using, and he drove that beat to hell car till he graduated, never hot rodded his cars again.

My buddies and I had an enormous paddock where we would all go and fang our (cheap shit) cars soon after we got licenses. Excellent fun, extremely low risk, let us get our stupids out in a safe environment. Highly recommended - but it was obviously one of the perks of living outside of a major city.

Understeer, which is what happened there, is the ugly cousin of oversteer, which is what i guess this was an attempt at.

I had a roommate that had an E30 325iS and he dead-centered a light pole in an empty parking lot, fucking around like this in the rain.

Wow, he kind of sucks at doing donuts.

That's the oil sump. Of the two, breaking the radiator would have been the better thing to break by far.

2 months ago | Likes 32 Dislikes 0

To be fair, at least the engine was stopped immediately, limiting future damage.

2 months ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

True, there wasn't enough run-time for the loss of oil to do any real damage to the engine. But replacing the sump and pump and other things are going to cost quite a bit, even compared to a radiator. (Which might have gotten a bang too while they were at it.)

Unless you can afford to buy a new car's worth of parts, that's a new car, not new parts.

2 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

@UncleSlam123 ...it *was* a nice car...

2 months ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

But then “dude uuuuh broke his radiator” Great find here! v

2 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Fucking lol'd @ "Can this thing even drive without its radiator".

2 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Good news it wasn’t the radiator. Bad news is that the oil pan is shot, or ripped in this situation.

2 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

you expected something else from a bmw driver. didn't even use the turn signal.

Looks like you needed a coolant flush anyway!

I'm not a carologist, but that doesn't look good.

2 months ago | Likes 207 Dislikes 1

Nah bro, just keep it posi-vibed maaaan you can do anything if you put your mind to it!

2 months ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

It's totaled. Not just the engine, the suspension is pushed back. Headed to the junkyard

Time to call Car Talk with Martok

2 months ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

I'm not a geologist, but i don't think that looks good either

2 months ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 1

They busted the jugular valve

2 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Is it bad when the car dies from blood loss?

2 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

...and hopefully they get a fine from the EPA for that oil spill.

2 months ago | Likes 30 Dislikes 2

In this administration? Probably get a new testicla and a trump phone

2 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

This EPA? No, they’ll send the health secretary over with a straw

Wow, driver is absolutely stun locked, praying that this somehow isn’t real! Great find! v

2 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Hope he had bus money.

2 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

we all knew where he was going to park...

2 months ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

I more expected him to park inside that truck. Then I expected him to park with that trashbin/skip inside the engine. Then I thought he was going to give the camera man a love tap. It was a wild ride from start to finish for me!

2 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Can’t park There mate

there is no police so he can

Fahk off

2 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

He broke more than the radiator.

2 months ago | Likes 97 Dislikes 1

oil pan too. Ouch.

2 months ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

The cooler up front wasn't broken, so I doubt the rad was hit. The suspension is the least of his concerns when part of the oil pan is on the sidewalk.

2 months ago | Likes 29 Dislikes 0

Yeah, his daddy’s trust.

2 months ago | Likes 27 Dislikes 1

You’ve said “daddy” an above average number of times on this post

2 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

The way these kids look, that was broken long ago.

2 months ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

I hardly think an E30 318i would break his father's trust fund.

2 months ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

Yeah this is an old one and convertible nobody wants it. 5k tops

2 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

No, but it will break the hearts of e30 owners.

Idiots of Imgur

2 months ago | Likes 20 Dislikes 1

Yup you’ll see this clown car again in 2 idiots posts!

2 months ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

He should have braked as soon as he was heading for the curb. this is just stupid, he had plenty of time.

2 months ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 2

Inexperience. Exactly why someone that young shouldn't have even remotely muscle-y cars.

2 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

The decision making was about as bad as possible. Straightened the wheel up to let it head directly towards their friends holding the camera - what the fuck is THAT about?? idiots.

2 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It seems like he thought (very wrongly) that he could hop it. But that is nothing like an offroad vehicle.

2 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Couldn't have happened to a nicer bunch of people.

2 months ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 2

Come on, man. They're just kids. Most of us look like that. I promise, it says nothing about or personalities other than that we have the stupidity of youth. :)

2 months ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 6

I'm sick to death of teens' mild indiscretions not haunting them for life! If it were up to me they'd never be allowed in a car again!!!

2 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It's interesting that you assume the comment was about their looks, and not their behaviour.

2 months ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 2

Hopefully he just busted the radiator. It's a BMW, so should only set him back $7k or so for parts.

2 months ago | Likes 128 Dislikes 7

Nah, the entire oil pan because, well, there's a huge chunk of it visibly on the ground XD So that'll be 17k for parts :D

2 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

*should only set his daddy back $7k or so

2 months ago | Likes 51 Dislikes 2

I thiiiiiiink it's a 1991 E30 318i? So probably cost him $6k - $9k for one in that hoopty condition.

2 months ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

As well as the entire left front suspension and fender.

2 months ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 0

Im hoping its the radiator, oil pan, bell housing, and transmission. He tries to drift and as soon as it starts, numbnuts decides to just stop turning. This is the best outcome for the world, really.

2 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Thats a 1990s bmw, good luck finding parts.

2 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

You'd be surprised, BMW keeps parts around for older models a lot longer than you might think.

2 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Most big European brands still have lots of parts available at a fairly good price. Volkswagen, BMW, Audi, Merc,... parts are mostly all readily available. Working on restoring a 95 VW Golf MK3 myself atm and I have no issues finding parts (new OEM, new aftermarket or second hand)

2 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Oh you can still find parts for E34's - just expensive AF.

2 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

From the under shot, it's the radiator, oil pan, and suspension.

2 months ago | Likes 37 Dislikes 0

And the whole fender too.

2 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Front wheel and suspension is torn up allowing the wheel to be pushed back.

2 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Hitting curbs is a lot worse than a lot of folks might expect.

2 months ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Oh I know. I'm in auto insurance as an appraiser. Some cars really dont hold up to curb hits. Dodge Challenger and Charger comes to mind. Oversized wheels and thin cast suspension parts results in those wheels just falling off.

2 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

A buddy of mine totaled his mustang hitting a curb with just the front right wheel, and not even going that fast 😐

2 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

That's the oil pan

2 months ago | Likes 41 Dislikes 4

Unless the oil pan was filled with rusty water. It's way too thin to be oil.

2 months ago | Likes 20 Dislikes 3

It's hot oil

2 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

The sump/oil pan is definitely smashed - that's the part you can see fly off. The radiator itself looks fine, so there is probably a water hose somewhere which got popped off - contributing the water to the mix.

2 months ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

its oil and water from someplace.

2 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

If his coolant was that old to be that brown, then its all for the best.

2 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

That's oil. The broken part on the ground is the oil pan, you can see the pan with the fins under the car with the gaping hole. Warm oil is pretty thin. Source: Mechanic AND e30 owner. The oil pan on most BMW sits pretty damn low as they are not meant for offroading a curb. You can see the cooler still being intact, so that's not the rad as it sits a bit higher than that. And coolant that color would mean serious lack of maintenance.
