Friends or not friends.

Wolf spiders are bros. Eat all kinds of garbage bugs like roaches for you. I have a few in my woodshop outside. Not going to say I am always thrilled to see a spider half the size of my palm, but I know they are cool so we have an understanding of, "you stay there and I'll
stay here."

All I want to know is: would they PLAY that tiny violin, like
zookeeBandit
Cellar spiders look an awful lot like a recluse. I have both and just leave them alone. It is recommended to kill recluse if you find them in your house. My wife got bit once moving boxes in the basement and it took months to heal.
hardcoredore5
Some people are more allergic to them than others and apparently.

She a big 'ol pest killing machine. Let big momma eat! 🕷️
Sanzanna
If only they would sit so nice and laid out like that for me to look at them
hardcoredore5
Recluses tend to dart away very quickly. I can usually get a very good look at a wolf spider though.
WhenWillThenBeNowSoon
Male Wolf Spiders are a lot smaller than the female Wolf Spiders and often get mistaken for Brown Recluse spiders.
hardcoredore5
I didn't know that.
WhenWillThenBeNowSoon
I killed one once and then realized it might have been a male wolf spider since I knew male spiders were often small. I realized my mistake and felt pretty bad.
swedeonamoose
If i remember right, recluse is the one with a extremely bad rep that it might not deserve and the wolf spider is mostly harmless but looks freaky.
BarryTheCyborg
The problem with brown recluses is that they hide in dark places (I.e. shoes), so you might not even know it's there before you get bit and it's venom is necrotic, which can cause gangrene and death. Wolf spiders are harmless, but large (for Americans) and fast as shit.
tinydog
Necrosis is no joke.
ElbowDeepInUserSub
Recluse try to avoid humans, but they have wicked venom. They're much like black widows in that it is generally easy to not get bitten by them, but if you do you're in for pain.
hardcoredore5
Well the Recluse is called as such b/c they tend to hide in the dark. However hiding in dark places can be problematic for humans as the spiders are very poisonous. The bites are especially bad for children and seniors. Wolf Spiders otoh, are harmless. They are fantastic to have around the house as a natural pet deterrent for mosquitoes, roaches, fleas and really any pest. They are voracious hunters, and they don't spin webs. They use their speed to catch prey.
hardcoredore5
PEST deterrent... 😏
AntiProtonBoy
Just a nitpick; things that kill you by injecting are venomous, things that kill you from ingestion are poisonous.
qtRaven
Brown Recluse is one of the few spiders in the US whose venom is dangerous to people. Speaking as someone bitten, FUCK BROWN RECLUSE.
ThisIsNotTheBestUsername
I find fucking them to be mildly difficult, but if you're going to insist on it with such passion.
weidermeijer
You just need to find someone who voted for Trump 3 times’ dick.
qtRaven
Well how do you think I got bit?
hardcoredore5
Now now boys. Spider Buggery is in room 2A.
