I'm a boomer and the older I get the harder it is to keep my mouth shut when I see people doing stupid stuff. I have reached the IDGARA phase of old age and it is glorious!

She should have taken a piece of chocolate and shoved it down in the woman's blizzard with her finger.

This and other things that didnt happen, more at 11

Employee - "AS YOU WERE SAYING, BITCH???"

4 days ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 3

yep, let them drone on. you just stop caring. soon you stop even listening once you know they are going to start. otherwise you will fully lose your sanity. i actually have just fully ignored someone and rang them out while they bitched. see if i care.

4 days ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Weird post. They absolutely do half-ass making stuff all the time, but she also could have just asked for more chocolate pieces

4 days ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 23

This happened to me! She put like 1/2 a scoop of peanut butter cups. I went back to her and asked if she could add more pb cups. She straight up said no. No explanation. I stirred the almost full blizzard to show her there were no chunks, she was unmoved, gave me a mocking laugh and said no. Rude people can be found at any age.

I got a bakelite knob I assume off of a machine in an oreo blizzard once. Haven't been back.

4 days ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 2

Yeah, excellent stereotyping of an entire class of people, BILLIONS, because of the era they were born in. It's bigotry.

3 days ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 2

Plot twist. They knew this customer was a kind soul and grandma came in to help the kid fleece them

and then everyone clapped!

Keep up with the generational hate! The billionaires LOVE you!

4 days ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 9

Yup, divide, distract, and divert.

4 days ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Boomers and billionaires can both be assholes.

4 days ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

And so can millennials! And gens X, Z, & alpha!

3 days ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

I thought the blizzard had an auto feeder for the crumbles and chips and then they stick the spoon on the thing and mix the cup? It's not like getting lucky when the mcdonalds worker doesn't give a fuck and overloads your French fries

4 days ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

No, afair that's how it's done at McDonald's (could be wrong/outdated) but at DQ they scoop the toppings into the cup with the soft serve and use a large commercial ice cream mixing machine with a non-detachable wand to blend it. Then they hand you a spoon with the blizzard.

4 days ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Yeah, your right. I was definitely confusing the two. I haven't been to either restaurant in yearsss

4 days ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I haven't had McD's since the 90s but there's a DQ down the street from my work and we go for blizzards every month or so. We just went last week when some of our coworkers were working there as part of a fundraiser for children's hospitals :)

As a boomer who tries very hard not to be a Karen, I'm going to have to remember this approach. +↑

4 days ago | Likes 102 Dislikes 3

The lady and the teenager were later spotted splitting a jar full of cash and fist-bumping in the parking lot.

4 days ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 2

I have seen a man do this with a teenager. He brought her to tears. He was a repulsive prick. Anyone who treats service workers like this is a piece of shit.

4 days ago | Likes 86 Dislikes 3

Abusing people is shitty in general, but abusing people who have no power to fix things is extra shitty.

4 days ago | Likes 36 Dislikes 1

And abusing young people who don't have the confidence to stand up for themselves is even worse. They need the adults in the room to help stop that shit in its tracks

4 days ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I want to stop being conflict-avoidant, because the last time I saw an old dude act shitty to a young woman, my only reaction was a big tip and to apologize for the guy being a jackass.

4 days ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

That is excellent motivation. What is your first step toward that goal?

3 days ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Drugs. Psychedelics, chiefly, to better understand the source of my social anxiety, and to better reflect on how to handle my emotional dysregulation in the moment as well.

3 days ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Hopefully you'll be doing that with someone at your side. Hopefully someone licensed.

Honestly at least once a week someone brings my daughter to tears by screaming at her at the bookstore. The last guy threw his cc at her screaming because she couldn't find his 'rewards' account. ... because he was giving her the wrong email address. But he never apologized. Stomped out screaming that he would never be back. Both she and the store manager were like.. "we can only hope"

4 days ago | Likes 21 Dislikes 1

step daughter worked at a local icecream shop. rarely had any over 18 working there. told her if any one causes any issue, im a 3min walk away, 30sec car ride. she stayed because her friend wasnt old enough to work at another place yet. i never got a call, but she seems to 'not my problem' when someone tries to be an ass.

4 days ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Manager should have snapped his card in two.

4 days ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 0

I only yell at my spouse (not all the time, obviously), I do not go out in public and illustrate why I shouldn't be in public ...

4 days ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 6

Employees at Dairy Queen are underpaid for their food fucking slaps.

4 days ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

The only good thing at DQ is their ice cream. The rest of their food is miserably mid.

4 days ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 2

They have other things than ice cream!? /j

4 days ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

I enjoy many things on their menu, the pretzel sticks with "spicy" queso in particular.

4 days ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I suggest you try better pretzels then if your bar is that low.

4 days ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

What an odd takeaway.

1. I didn't say that they were the best pretzels, I said they were one of the best DQ food offerings.
2. I've had much, much better soft pretzels but DQ's are the only ones around me that I know of. I've looked and it's just not a thing here I guess. This area's early settlers were more Irish/Scottish; where I lived before had a lot more German influence.
3. Being aware of better pretzels doesn't reduce my enjoyment of DQ's.

As a Boomer who habitually overtips, we ain't all like that.

4 days ago | Likes 181 Dislikes 4

Yes, because it never happened?

3 days ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 2

Hate these Boomer stereotypes.

4 days ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 6

As an asshole that likes yelling at people we should team up.

3 days ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

then "boomer selfishness" doesn't apply !

4 days ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Man, I hear this from boomers so much. Maybe you're not like this, but are you friends or friendly with other boomers who are? Do you still spend holidays with them and let them feel loved and accepted in spite of being like this? Silence helps the oppressor.

3 days ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I dont know any boomers like that. I was born in 1964, the last year of the 18Y period called the baby boom. It was just after WW1 when the average # of births and births per adult woman was high (for the time.) Birth rose to ~4 kids per woman & 3.3M-4.3M were born each of the 18Y.

1946 3.4M
1947 3.8M
1948, 1949 & 1950: 3.6M
1951 3.8M
1952 3.9M
1953 4.0M
1954 & 1955 4.1M
1955 4.1M
1956 4.2M
1957 (Pk) 4.3M
1958 4.2M
1959 1960 1961 4.3M
1962 1963 1964 4.0-4.2M

That is LITERALLY all it was.

I feel like "boomer" at this point just means "any entitled shitty older person" more than it actually refers to "the baby boomers"

4 days ago | Likes 87 Dislikes 1

From what I'm led to believe, "boomer" just means "anyone over 25 that I don't like."

3 days ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

This! 'Boomer' isn't all about a certain age group but also a certain mindset.

4 days ago | Likes 33 Dislikes 0

Correct. My parents had a hard time accepting this. They're boomers, but they aren't. If you catch my meaning.

4 days ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

Not every Karen is a Karen?

4 days ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

I know a Karen. She is a sweet, wonderful person. I saw her cross the street to help an elderly man come over to our side. Then we had a good joke with me saying, 'hey, stop getting those good impulses before I can' and her replying 'not my fault your good has to wade through the sludge of your brain'. I adore her. Damn good friend.

3 days ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

They don't have any idea of the age of this woman. They just love the idea of using it as an ageist slur. All generational stereotypes, every single one, are ridiculous and stupid. No one gets to choose when they're born, and that's all one's "generational identity" means.

People in any random group of 80 million people that just happened to be born in an 15-18 year period don't behave the same way.

There are great people and horrible people in every generation.

3 days ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 3

Ageist 😂

3 days ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 2

All age and generational stereotypes are ridiculous, snowflake. They mean nothing. It's the entire point of my comment.

There are snowflakes of all ages.

2 days ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

You calling me a snowflake when you’re playing victim complex sure is something.

2 days ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Only a snowflake would make this comment all about them.

2 days ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I mean seriously, you’re calling “boomer” a slur. Really think about the slurs you know that would get you banned and reevaluate a little.

2 days ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

That doesnt sound like a Boomer but a GenXer. Not having enough chocolate pieces in blizzard is one of my pet pieves. Also, it;s highly annoying whent he chips are way way way too tiny. Blizzard needs BIG chunks of pure, special UNTEMPERED chocolate which melts at low temps.

4 days ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 33

Pet peeves*

(Misspelling is one of mine)

4 days ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 1

Thnx!

4 days ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 10

Not sure why you're being downvoted for this. It happens to me sometimes too, where I reply some variation of "thanks" and a handful of people apparently take that personally lol

4 days ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 5

I think it's because GenZ doesnt know what a Boomer is and just calls every annoying person older than them 'Boomer' and then get annoyed when they are being corrected. Ah well, every now and then I get -100 but so far nothing happens. Do the points actually do anything or is it just some prestige crap ?

4 days ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 9

Well we've both been hit by the downvote bot now lol Watch out, we're on their radar!

As far as points, not exactly prestige (though I'm sure some feel that way). The practical aspect is credibility - people will often disregard or argue with/against accounts that have low points (new acct) or negative points (troll).

oK bOoMer, you fucking outed yourself here.

4 days ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 3

I think GenZ is just so dumb they dont know what Boomer means and just call everyone 'Boomer'.

4 days ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 11

In your original comment you said GenX, now you say GenZ, which one are you pissed at boomer?

4 days ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 3

All of them.

4 days ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 7

Thats what I mean.I said GenX referring to the complaining woman at the Dairy Queen. When I said GenZ I was referring to you for not knowing what a Boomer is and not knowing the difference.
