College time is awesome time. Especially if you can take things with a pinch of salt. Most of the times it is fun, though there is downside to it too. All of us have had our fair share of jokes to remember at someone's cost; and some at our own cost.

Just don't do anything you would do.
yesyesbananahands
Damn, school was rough. My teacher told me I'd never get a job because she didn't like my writing. Learn from your mistakes and keep going!
GooBa25
I was the guy in college they used as an example to study hard for your finals and never give up. Especially since the final is cumulative
wraivon
I had a professor read one aloud in class that had been written in txt speak, while staring at the girl who wrote it. It was a 300 lvl class
Joy027
Did your professor at least give you extra credit for using your paper?
vishpostswhatvishwishes
Nah, but it all makes me laugh now when i think about it.
dejavu85308
Senpai noticed me?!
ThorsHand11
At least you know what you did wrong.
TomBrokaw
As long as the prof provided alternatives that were right.
BattleMercy
I mean, he still knows it's wrong, so even if he doesn't get hints for corrections, just reverse engineer it
yourkiddingrightnow
A real learning experience, they say. It will be fun, they say.
Inmate45
As a teacher, I do an activity called 'my favourite no'. I get all my students to answer a question where lots of things can go wrong 1/2
Inmate45
2/2 and then, not identifying the writer, I go through what went wrong with the most incorrect answer. It's supposed to help without shame.
ITalkAboutGoats
But you use the kids own work in class for what not to do? Sounds pretty shameful.
Inmate45
You make out that heaps of students did the same thing (even if they didn't). You go through a few incorrect answers. Works quite well.
RichardDeanAnderson
That class was made specially for you for that day, which is nice
TheUpvoteGuyy
Happen to me when using the word "effect", I used "affect". Now I know. Now I know
therealgiraffe
Do you also know the super tricky version, as in: "to effect change"?
TheUpvoteGuyy
Why do you do this to me?
therealgiraffe
English is a cruel, cruel mistress...
Ihatethispartofsigningup
My professor did the same, but I ended up being her favorite student with the highest grade in the class. It might be cause they like you.
Chrichelle
Alternatively, cause they hate you.
mrhobbybob
Thank him for the learning experience and try to hide sarcasm

As the holder of a BA in English, oof. Sorry fellow imgurian. That's rough.
vishpostswhatvishwishes
Apparently, I too hold the same degree as yours.
davegur
I had a professor for a music composition class write the word 'barf' on a short piece I turned in.

Some people aren't college material.
FormalShorts
I sure as shit wasn't, and still walked off with my B.S.
Mistruths
Heh. B.S.
MultiplePersonalitiesProfile
Where I studied CS, some computer theory teachers made it a point of failing at least half the class. It's a federal university in 1/2
MultiplePersonalitiesProfile
Brazil (here the federal ones are by far the best ones). Of every 100 that enter the course each year, only a third graduates. Crazy!
MultiplePersonalitiesProfile
Some would say it builds character, but at what cost?
Cuperax
1. I have a friend (she 2-3 years younger than me) who got the same topic as I drew back in that class. She had the same teacher as I did
Cuperax
2. Apparently the teacher used my paper that I had made for that exam. Just to show how the paper shouldn't be made :( I feel like I was bad
vishpostswhatvishwishes
That's better than teacher showing your mistakes in front of your own class, isn't it!
Teaspilled
Out of curiosity what sort of mistakes did you make?
badacha
All of them
Cuperax
I did, It was SO bad. I didnt care for school back then! xD

whoareYOUlookingat
This happened to me when I was like 8 and she didnt use my name but everyone knew it was mine and it made me feel so shit as you can imagine
cking1
This happened to me in my first week of high school.
whoareYOUlookingat
I don't see the advantage of humiliating a student at all
thisworldisweird
As a teacher whenever I show the kids what not to do, I get last years work and show that. Those students have already moved on so it works.
thisworldisweird
No names of course, and I make it so that it is not obvious in case they were friends with older kids (elementary kids don't remember much)
whoareYOUlookingat
Exactly, it's seems like basic common sense to me
