There are cats who work in pest control. Usually for historical reasons, but it's a thing.
Historical reasons? I know they used to keep cats around for pest control. But if it's historical then there aren't working cats anymore.
it's actually still their duty to control pests, it's just that now we also call in professionals when it's more than a few mice.

This. Get that cat some nip and let him relax for a bit.
tegfdd77
Give him some Gabapentin. Very calming.
You wanna try giving him a pill in his current state? The nip is at least something they naturally WANT.
Catnip doesn't affect all cats, and it makes some aggressive.
If it were that effective, vets would administer it all the time.
Catnip won’t calm a cat in that state. Gabapentin is given before the appointment
Dinos91
Some cats don't calm down after the vet. They keep it inside until the next vet visit. My ex's cat was like that, worse every time
