Just got histology results. That’s been a wild 7 weeks. Cried a bit with the doctor.

I'm not one to say things happen for a reason, the universe is big so there's gonna be a lot of coincidences but damn good luck right there.

Mother-in-law fell, fractured hip, but they found stage 4 blood cancer. She got treated, full remission, & lived several more healthy years

Good surgeon!

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Turns out he’s really good. Cost me nothing, other than the taxes I’ve been paying for the last 25 years.

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Shiiiiiiiiit. At least you’re cured so congrats my friend !

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

7 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

I know that feeling, not as bad as yours by all means. We stopped to recollect and I fell off as we got going again, now I need surgery...

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

So in a way, your back luck having a grievous accident was good luck

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

My buddy was benching his max and tore his chest muscles away from his ribs, in surgery they find a tumor that was hidden from scans. 1/2

7 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 1

2/2 the thing would have killed him within 6 months.

7 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 1

I didnt hear no bell!!!

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Similar, taken to hospital with alcohol liver damage and pancratisis, found tumour in kidney 13 years sober and cancer free

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

A split kidney?! That sounds horrific!

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Must be nice to have Health Insurance. That would’ve bankrupted the average American

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Clearly the universe has plans for you. Watch out for radioactive spiders!

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Im scared to ask how you split a kidney

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

The medical term is a renal laceration. The layman's term is a ruptured kidney. Kidneys are relatively high pressure devices filled with (1)

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

blood (there job is to filter blood and the main mechanism of filtration they use is pressure). B/c it has a high pressure, it can (2)

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

sometimes "pop" in high enough impact traumas. The spleen is actually MUCH more likely to rupture than the kidney. In general, the body (3)

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

is pretty good at containing small ruptures and healing itself without surgery. (4)

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Their* my bad.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Landed on my side in the bike prang

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

So like the kidney was just cut in half?

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Pretty much. Not half, but the top bit split through. Looked like it was smashed by a hammer on the ct

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Uh, can they fix that or do you have one less kidney?

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Fixed itself! All good

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

So if you never fell off your bike....

7 years ago | Likes 68 Dislikes 3

Correct! Luck, miracle or some kind of blessing. I’m thanking everyone!

7 years ago | Likes 82 Dislikes 1

What's a split kidney scan?

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Since you're thanking everyone, you're welcome

Sameish with my wife!! She bought this cleanse kit, chem imbalance landed her in the hospital. MRI revealed 4 tumors in liver to blame.

7 years ago | Likes 211 Dislikes 4

Surgeon found 7 in all, now all removed. Crazy! All revealed by a stupid cleanse!

7 years ago | Likes 163 Dislikes 1

Could they now claim “can even lead to removal of tumors” on their packaging?

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Good thing you fell off that bike

7 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

There was a blood donation trailer that used to visit my high school. You had to be 17 to donate with parents permission. My friend just 1

7 years ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 0

2 turned 17 so she went to go donate for the first time ever. They take everyone's vitals first, of course. When they took hers they told

7 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 0

3) her she couldn't donate because she had an irregular heartbeat. She told her mom. Her mom took her to the doctor. They did Xrays and

7 years ago | Likes 21 Dislikes 0

They listen to your heart at a blood donation??

7 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

4) a massive tumor in her chest, resting on her heart. Took a biopsy. Turns out she had cancer. They found it so early though that they

7 years ago | Likes 24 Dislikes 0

Chem impalance?

7 years ago | Likes 41 Dislikes 3

Imbalance*

7 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 2

Yes, something in the cleanse kit sent her ammonia levels skyrocketing, to a state of intoxicarion. Her liver wasn't removing it naturally

7 years ago | Likes 50 Dislikes 1

"Uh...you're fucking welcome." - cleanse kit

7 years ago | Likes 76 Dislikes 0

Ironically that sounds super toxic- anything that can increase ammonia to the point that the liver can’t cope is pretty much poison

7 years ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 1

I'm thinking the buttload of tumors may have caused an issue, but still, screw that cleanse! Or...uhh...i guess yay for it, though? O.o

7 years ago | Likes 24 Dislikes 1

is intoxicarion the act of getting high from dead animals?

7 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 7

7 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Yup. And vultures never check luggage. They only have carrion.
