Even then, I wouldn't be able to hold him steady. Mister hates things inside his ears. My solution tho? Squish him down and fast gentle wet wipes motion
Yeah, tricking your dog with something they don't like will just lead to distrust. It's better to set an environment where they know what they are getting into, even if they don't like it. Positive reinforcement can also help a ton.
Interesting, thanks! When my shitty punk band toured Japan in the mid 00s, the only places where we didn't have to cover up were the venues and a few select tiny dive bars. It's neat to see the cultural shift where an actual Japanese person, a woman no less, is willing to not only get tattoos, but get them on their hands.
Nowadays, in the cities, you'll still need to cover up for gyms, onsens, beaches or public pools, and formal/ traditional or workplace settings, but are generally fine to leave them visible going about the day otherwise.
When we pet our cat she slowly moves her head so you end up fingering her ear and that's what she wants, she will run for her life if you try to use a Q tip though.
Cats are social creatures. If you have more than one, they will clean for each other. If you have a single cat, it’s near impossible for them to do it, so we help
I once found one of my cats own claw sheaths embedded inside her ear, probably from a good ear scratch gone wrong, and it had been driving her crazy. Freaked me out as I thought it looked like a centipede leg. Best to check anytime your cat is shaking their head or constantly scratching ears.
Ear mites are fucking gross. My first two shelter kitties had them and I felt bad for them. There was so much the vet dug out and she really went to town in their ears. Probably felt a lot better after.
Every cat I have known that has had ear mites really loves having their ears and the ridge between eyes and ears rubbed. Every cat that I've known that hasn't had them is neutral about it.

If the cat really didn't want to be there it wouldn't.

It does feel rather nice to get your ears a thorough cleaning from time to time, kitty gets it! (speaking as someone with small ears+ear canals)

So this girl is Japanese, in Japan? Wow, they must have really lightened up about tattoos since I was there some 20 years ago or so.
munkeyninja
short answer: yes. Long answer: she's yakuza
sunyudai
It's turning into more of an urban/rural divide, as well as generational. Younger people in the cities don't care, older or more rural areas still do.

Plus I'd look at the short hair and piercings as indicators that it's akin to like punk in the west?
eronth
Possibly, but tattoos have historically been considered far worse than piercings and short hair in Japan.
sunyudai
Kinda, kawaii culture is actually a closer analog to Western punk, different aesthetics but driven by very similar forces.
But the analogy does work here.

You don't typically need to, but in some cases - such as elderly cats, ear mites, or a few others - they may need cleaning.

My first cat would bolt anytime I picked up a towel because I wrapped her in one every time I gave her the ear mite drops.
