This depends on how you aim and the distance shooting. Indoor tournaments (20 yards no sights) you will see a “3 under” grip. Olympic (77 meters with adjustable sights) will use a split finger grip
I agree though that you don’t want to touch the arrow during the draw. Just the string (for a modern recurve draw). I’m not sure about Mongolian style (thumb draw)
Ok, but in the later shot where you can see here she is hitting, her aim is all over the place. So yes she has good draw and release, but shooting like that will hardly hit the target.
As someone who teaches archery, this is actively good. We're not doing Olympic style archery here. And it's not one of those American hunting bows with crosshairs and everything. This is entirely intuitive and very quick shooting. And she does a great job at it.

This is probably a 10-15 pound bow. To penetrate a padded gambison you would need at least a 70 pound draw weight. To get through mail you would need 100+
Armor? No, but you absolutely could maim/kill animals/ppl without thick ass hide. Soldiers in fatigues, rabbits, porcupine, probably deer. Moose or bear is likely only gonna slightly injure as I doubt it would penetrate deep enough
It's gotta be a really low draw weight. Turning your hand around like that (string hand palm out rather than palm in) absolutely destroys your leverage on the draw. You literally CAN'T draw a heavy bow that way.

I'm pretty sure she is drawing with her 3rd, 4th, and 5th finger over top of the string and releasing all 3 fingers just after setting the arrow with her thumb and index. So absolutely could have a higher draw weight than 15lbs but it doesn't look like in this case it is much more than that.
The hand on the string isn't bothering me. It's not impossible to draw a heavy bow like that.
Two other things do, however. If that bow had any significant draw weight, he left arm wouldn't be comfortable angled like that. At least not without her being some kind of super heroine.
The other is her holding the bow tilted like that. I'd imagine that would get in the way of properly drawing a bow.
It’s a reverse grip, which can actually work decently, but takes a ton of practice to do consistently. Not surprisingly, it’s mainly used for high-speed shots (like this) and movie work.
Contrary to some opinions, it doesn’t require a low draw weight, nor does it damage your arm, nor is it ineffective in combat… it’s just not the easiest to build proficiency, so it was rarely (if ever) actually used historically, and we have no written documentation.
If i read your comment it seems to be that once you are an archery instructor, you will always be an archery instructor. You can leave out the "former".

One downside to the reverse grip is actually shown best in the first clip… the arrow often bounces as it comes to rest.
I suspect that one bounced, and hadn’t fully settled when she released it.
