Disclaimer: I am on medication and seeing a therapist. However I find myself in the beginning stages of developing Agoraphobia. I used to be a very social person but things have changed.
My boyfriend is doing woodwork inside the house and there are wood shavings, saw dust and tools everywhere :’(
The second is definitely me lol. I talk to my best friends that way. But every conversation starts with “Dood…”
When you always expect the worst to happen and when it does happen you’re prepared for it :)
I can make your hands clap (Clap Clap Clap Clap Clap Clap Clap)
I struggle with this. I think “Why are people so goddamn stupid?”
I am not a morning person. I am always tired, fucking depression.
It’s either a Face Hugger or a heart attack. Something angry lives inside me.
Me in my Emo phase and even sometimes now.
Make the goddamn chemicals I need to be productive you stupid lump of fuck.
If you’re sad, watch this. If you’re still sad at the end, keep watching until you aren’t sad anymore :)
An oldie but accurate
How I text my friends “Dude. Do you want to know what happened today?” My besties are always waiting to hear the tea
This is happening and it’s affecting me negatively. I have been late to work and missing work and it’s a really damn good job and I need to stop being fucking depressed and get my ass up and work but I don’t know how :’(
Even before smoking weed I had depression and anxiety. Weed just makes it easier to handle being alive on a daily basis
Hell is in my head. If my fucking brain wants to kill me, it better start shutting down my organs and kill me like a real disease instead of making me scared of EVERYTHING
Sexy and chaotic is fun in the moment.
I love Outrun
My constant state
I’d look like a goddamn supermodel if my anxiety and metabolism worked at the same speed. Then again I might starve to death and that’s unproductive.
This describes me accurately
Someone saw me without my skin on and this was the result.
I do forget my meds on the regular. I don’t want to forget but it happens.
My brain is awesome but it’s also stupid. Did you know the brain named itself? Cocky bastard.
It’s a visual memory really.
I wanted “Depressed Jellyfish” to be my EDM Dj name but people have told me it doesn’t roll off the tongue. Oh well .__. Back to the drawing board
I love this song
I measure happiness in minutes. Then it’s back to not feeling anything or feeling everything.
I don’t want to kill myself. I would just like to find a way to simply not exist and not have my friends and family be sad at my loss.
I do have a nice ass TBF.
I have tried fitting in with family members but we’re all different people. I’m like “Hail Satan!” ?? but they attend church on Sunday and have a normal 9-5 job and kids. I wanted kids at one point but PCOS took that from me :(
I try and be metal AF. But I’m not, I’m a poser at best :(
I wanted to be a plastic surgeon when I grew up. Or a serial killer. Neither have happened and it’s both a good and bad thing.
I do like these kinds of cars but I am afraid to speak to people who drive them. I once saw someone with an Anti-Sodomy Coalition van.
My friends are very intelligent. They’re also riddled with mental health issues. Maybe being smart is linked with mental illness? I’m just talking out my ass.
Energy drinks are delicious. I have been drinking them since I was 14-15 years old. I don’t even drink them for the caffeine and the fastness anymore. I just like the way they taste.
I don’t make good decisions often.
Anxiety is stupid. It’s your brain making up conspiracy theories about you and the world around you.
Thank you Imgur community for being funny as hell and a place to relax on a consistent basis. Love you all very much

Depressed Jellyfish is a great name, and the initials are even DJ. Also, being yourself is metal as fuck, so don't worry about appearances.

#37 being intelligent is indeed positively correlated with mental illness. Source: I am SMRT and sad.
AgentClockworkOrange
I wouldn’t trade my mental illness at a cost to my intelligence. Brains are stupid and weird.
CountLun
It is really not. Studies show the opposite. Here, from a meta-study on the association between int and mental health: (1/3)
CountLun
Individual differences in intelligence are predictive of mental illness, where a higher level of intelligence in childhood is predictive(2/3
CountLun
of a lower level of self-reported psychological distress decades later“ I will also post the link to the study underneath

than people of average or below-average intelligence.“

So there are grounds for more investigation, that means neither of us is right.

AgentClockworkOrange
ADHD was a bonus from my MDD and GAD. They’re cooccurring conditions which is saying my brain goes too fast and Im scared of everything
farfie
ADHD is often treated with stimulants that can make that worse. Guanfacine and Strattera aren't stimulants, you should test them.
Mzmag00
Tbh my GAD was incredibly lessened (pretty non-existent actually) with stims. Then life hit big but that was an incredible time in my life.
