Hairless cats as a breed originated in North America about 60 years ago. The cat in the center is more representative of what an ancient Egyptian would recognize a domestic cat.
sphynx cats are not from Egypt nor are they ancestral. they are from a mutation selectively bread in North America domestic short hair cats in the late 1960's. The mackerel coat pattern of the tabby and face markings make the center cat as more closely related to the pattern first observed in Baghdad in the 17th century.
