Some people have more empathy for animals, despite understanding that we have our reasons for culling their population. They might just want the deer to have a little more time in its life if they can.

I saw a video back in the deep deep internet time, where a monkey saw its monkey friend get electrocuted and the monkey dragged his buddy out onto the sidewalk and started doing CPR on him and the electrocuted monkey revived. Or maybe the monkey had drowned and was dragged out of the pool? It was centuries ago now, so I can't be sure. The point being that biology works pretty much the same when dealing with lungs, hearts, and pressure.
The way he had to pull it out of the fence could have left avoidable (by second person manipulating the fence) cuts on its face and body. Even minor cuts can be lethal in the wild due to infections.
Ok none of that matters it's a video of something from the past. It's not like we are all saving dear everyday from a fence. Get a grip on reality and step back from all of your factual contributions to conversations your family friends or SO will probably be very relieved for a short while.
