Loewen's "Lies My Teacher Told" and get a base of information for the topic. Then learn the basics of historical research and make sure you have an active library card.

I honestly think it's worse for society at large, because it's not nearly as obvious but its more widespread. Sure they don't have to storm into peoples homes to ransack their bookshelves or convince people to toss books in themselves, but that just makes it easier to trick people into thinking nothing was changed. It's just quietly done and from them on when people look for information it won't be as readily available, or the info will contradict other info, and so on.

Agreed. It's worse because those who do it try to do it invisibly whereas the book burners were loud and out front with it. I feel that the bastards trying to destroy society will eventually triumph because there is literally no low they won't stoop to, no line they won't cross. When you are ethically destitute, there is no strategy you can't out-maneuver. We are in a catch-22 situation. I think they're just being pedantic. Everyone understands the meaning here, but technically The Internet is the wires routers servers and IP addresses (layer 3/4 of the OSI networking model). The Web is the logical connections between resources specified on Hypertext (layer 6 of the OSI model).
Neither is the content, if you're being needlessly technically specific.
The gov is removing specific text from their own resources (pages) but not removing the remote web links to it.

Nah, sorry but that's an idiotic take. I read parts of Mein Kampf when i was a teenager and it was already obvious to me at 15 or so how vile it was and how every argument was obviously in bad faith. Censorship of any kind is a proof of weakness. Better educated people will always recognise an inferior ideology as inferior, so the goal must be better education, not censorship of stupid ideologies. The latter is an excuse for populists to call themselves "against the establishment" and so on

Nice choice of words. Inferior ideologies have no right to exist, because they might still turn out superior under particular circumstances - in times of upheaval, loss, deprivation etc. The strong must protect the weak in a society - this goes with protecting the weak-minded -, and protection against such subversive threats helps us all.

I meant inferior in terms of ideas, not in terms of power. Nazi ideology will always be inferior no matter how prevalent it is. The only way the "strong" can protect the "weak" (what a condescending formulation btw) is by teaching him strength, no chosing their path for them because they allegedly arent "strong" enough to decide for themselves. Solidarity within a society is based on the realization that some are less protected again certain threats (eg. the elderly against ailments, scams, violent crime; the young and the uneducated against propaganda etc.). The spread of fascist ideology is a threat we must defend against as one - by protecting the vulnerable.
