That 300 billion will go to construction firms connected to his family and friends. Americans are just discovering another way they must pay tithes to their king.
I HAVENT HEARD A SINGLE WORD ABOUT THE IRANIAN PEOPLE.
this was one of the very first reasons for going to war - to empower them and relieve them of the supreme leader. there is no mention of them other than we cannot help them per the MOU.
And cost us a huge amount of our military equipment/supplies. Let the rest of the world know anyone could win a war against us if they wanted to. I'm not a big military person, but if the whole point of the US is to project power, we did the opposite of that.
We had a massive, undamaged industrial base, we had a GI Bill that sent millions to college, we had huge stockpiled of food and war surplus that created new industries and we had hyper strong unions providing healthcare and pensions and 40 hour work-weeks with great pay and vacations... a high school graduate could get a job and buy a house a car, provide for his family and pay for a vacation.
The government wasn't actively evil yet and was still inspired by New Deal results.
But compare the US pre-WW2 to the US post-WW2 and there was a period where we were better.... it did not last, for anyone.
I would argue that the African American community has only had a hint of hope dangled in front of them before 2009 or so and even that taste was taken away almost immediately... something they have experienced repeatedly (in 1865, 1965, 2009...) to be dangled hope and then have it yanked away (1868, 1968, 2017/2025)
I mean, we were bankrupted, we just happened to not have sustained so much battle damage that our industries were the only ones able to provide for the world.
US debt at the end of WW2 was $260B ($4.4T in 2026 dollars).
We weren't actually bankrupted simply because we could keep servicing that debt.
The next president should offer to renegotiate the deal and part of the deal is that he gives them Trump and hexeth and even Johnson I think that would be awesome
I like to imagine myself taking part in world politics, what I would do in such scenarios. I'd tell them they get the Obama deal, no tolls or anything, but the US stops supporting Israel.
We get out of supporting genocide for free and they feel like winners. Sometimes fantasy is all I have.
It's not a reward, it's a symbol of good faith. "We'd like to normalize relations again, and as a gesture we'll give you the men responsible for the damage so that you know we mean it when we say we're sorry for what they did."
Exactly. That's how things were done even in feudal times. People who caused problems for an ally with the intent to upset that relationship were offered up to that country as an apology. Sometimes dead, sometimes alive.

But you don't know how much the Trump family gained personally. Although one can calculate how much US fossil fuel companies made from this war.
AtmaDarkwolf
You are definitely a great disappointment. Or embarrassment. Or shame. or mistake. Pick one. Maybe all of them. Add your own. Mix it up.

$300b is how much it costs for Iran to not release the files....
FreePalestineAndTheWorldFromIsrael
$300b will not even be enough for any parent who had to bury their child after the USA bombed a school.

Well yeah, Ivanka's and Jared's luxury hotel project in Albania is facing problems. This is gonna be way easier for them.

It is even worse, just wait for it.

And the rest of the world got a lesson about fossil fuels not being reliable and how making your own energy is a viable alternative.

They will get $324,000,000,000 for letting us stop attacking them! Good win...

Well if Iran wants their collective dick sucked, they're gonna have to take a number. Israel has us booked for the next two years.

We just "Trumped" the world, just like Iran, they've been an "imminent" threat for the last 47 years!

The Iranians have taught us, that all you need is a psychiatrist to get what you want out of the demented moron.

... and prove to the US that it can't prevent that militarily without doing things that even Trump and Hegseth were unwilling to do.

We were never great... we were ok for a few years from 1945 to 1952 or so.

The only reason the US appeared "ok" in that period, was because they were the only country not bankrupted by WWII

In the span of 250 years America went from genocide to slavery to racism to sexism to homophobia and then ultimately fascism. It was never great.

All this could've been avoided if only someone didn't miss.

And the world has learned nothing. We'll continue to use oil forever, destroying any chance of restoring the climate before its too late.

The liquor cabinet applies to a lot of them. But Junk Drawer applies to ALL of them!
