One of the reasons Trump has for the tariffs is for people to buy more American, to bring manufacturing back home, etc.

Tariff will BY DESIGN make foreign product pricier, to make domestic products more appealing. He has zero clue on how things work, and gets angry when what people told him would happen, starts happening.

Walmart should add a tariff line item to receipts as a 'fuck you'

"Don't show everyone what a dummy I am" is what he is really saying

The 1% could eat the cost.

The billionaires got their money, not from paying what they could afford, but not paying what they could get away with.

Can you imagine how he'd react if anyone suggested his business should take a cut in profits to help its customers because of something the government did?

1 year ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Wait... We know that Walmart has been ripping consumers and its workers off. So the tariffs is actually ... balancing things out?

1 year ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Don't worry, we'll just start growing bananas domestically! Any day now...

1 year ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 0

I’m *going* bananas—does that count?

1 year ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

LOL what a shitshow because of all those MAGA numbnuts voting this incompetent wanker into office.

Greedy corpos vs. Fascist. They would still make a profit, just not as large a profit.

such a good time to use this gif hahaha

1 year ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

But…if Chiner was paying the tariffs why does Cheeto Benito tell Walmart to eat the tariffs?

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Just his standard threat. All he wants is a big gift from Walmart, what the rest of us call a bribe.

1 year ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

MAGA was so terrified of socialism they voted in a fascist who broke things so badly he is resorting to socialism to fix them.

Republicans, "Government should stay out of the way of business, that's communism!"
Trump directly interferes with businesses.
Republicans, "Oh but this is fine though, because he's a fascist, not a communist!"

A corporation willingly eating costs instead of passing it onto consumers? Good luck with that.

1 year ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

What a great business man trump is. Can we all just agree and bask in his greatness? "Eating" a tax as a business... great fucking idea trump. You are so awesome.

10 bucks Walmart invests in crypto and he says "Go ahead and raise them!"

Trump vs the number one employer in the country.

So much for free market, eh Republicans?

"Bidens economy did this. Trump is just trying to fix it"

There are no domestic products.

1 year ago | Likes 93 Dislikes 4

There are non-domestic products, domestic products that have been produced using non-domestic products, and domestic products produced using domestic products which were produced using non-domestic products.
And, even if you could somehow make a 100% domestic product, the way the market works, its price will raise when the alternatives are more expensive. So even a product that shouldn't be affected by tariffs will.

Walmart had a huge hand in forcing suppliers to move manufacturing overseas—or lose their shelf space at Walmart.

1 year ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 0

Yeah, tariffs makes sense, if you have the capability to produce the targeted product domestically. You target a specific product, announce it well in advance, and ramp up the tariffs over years. That is how you can foster domestic production. Nothing of Trump's actions will help domestic production much.

You clearly don't understand the 5D chess that King Lord Daddy Trump is playing.

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Only they don't, they NEVER work out in the long run. Every time it's been tried in history it ends in failure. You have to just start making your own and get people to switch to them instead, making things more expensive just never works.

...Isn't this some of that evil "price fixing" thing that republicans claim Socialism does?

1 year ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

So, he wants his plutocrat buddies to take huge losses so that all their profit can go to him. I'm sure that'll be fine.

1 year ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I mean, how could he know Tarrifs would cause price increases? Thats counting 2 and 2 together. I think if you believe he can do that. you expect to much of him...

1 year ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

tbf he also could have got it by listening to competent advisors instead of yes-men, bwahahahahahah...hahahah

If Trump goes head-to-head with Walmart, Vance will be in office before Christmas.

1 year ago | Likes 204 Dislikes 3

...and the couch just before that...

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I legitimately think I'm okay with that if it happens. Vance doesn't have the charisma of Trump and seems to have a small sense of morality. I don't think people would bow down at his feet like they do for Trump.

1 year ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

My tinfoil hat theory is they'll get rid of trump in February 2027 for the possibility of 10 years of puppet vance.

1 year ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Trump has already back tracked on so many things, this will just be another thing he backs down on and claims he won on.

1 year ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

And Walmart will suddenly sell a suspicious amount of couches

1 year ago | Likes 39 Dislikes 2

eiw. Funny. But eiw.

Doll furniture, because Vance comes across as someone who likes ‘em young

I smell a co-lab. A stinky, dried jizz and gym locker room co-lab

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Surprised he isn't already. to be honest.

1 year ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Didn't have "Walmart vanishes Trump" on my bingo card, but I'm happy to pencil that in.

1 year ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Like he did with Amazon? And like Amazon didn't bend the knee? Like that?

1 year ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

That's probably the plan from the beginning.

1 year ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

All of a sudden, Wal-Mart will be be reversing their decision to sell guns, ammo, and tactical gear.

1 year ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 2

Weyland-Yutani knows this.

1 year ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

While that would not improve things on the larger scale, it would at least spare me from having to see or hear that orange stain ever again.

1 year ago | Likes 82 Dislikes 0

Vance doesn't have a cult behind him.

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Maybe not,but now they have all the power, that is somewhat less of a factor. Hoping that infighting will destroy them is a dangerous gamble

1 year ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I'm not sure if Vance could hold the fascist interest in the same way Trump does. After Trump goes, there's gonna likely be a lot of in-fighting and I'm not sure what'll come out of it.

1 year ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

He will still be in the news every day just like he was before.

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

The rest of the world seriously would be grateful if you could impeach him because it is like listening to an idiot who has dementia. It's dangerous and destabilising. It's a waste of everyone's time for his ego.

1 year ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 1

And infuriating that so many governments seem to be under the impression that you can deal rational with the US regime. Just say: fuck off!!

1 year ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

You don't seem to any more clue than trump how nations need to talk to each other. The U.S.A being insane (and it is, through it's elected and REPRESENTATIVE government) doesn't mean others can treat it chidishly. Adults must continue to adult and they don't need to advertise gently excluding the... 'special' ones from business. But it will happen.

1 year ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 2

We did impeach him. Twice. Clearly that means fuck all when the rest of those bastards refuses to actually make him leave.

1 year ago | Likes 21 Dislikes 0

Well, you see, it's like that because he's an idiot with dementia.

1 year ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

It might, I honestly don't understand it but Trump has a cult of personality Vance doesn't

1 year ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Trump is a loud man-child with no filters who is so much of a parody of himself that he has an entertaining type of charisma for broken people (see The Apprentice). JD Vance has all of the charisma of a crusty sock.
