Was supposed to get my food assistance money today, but they didn’t send it. Now I have to figure out what I need to do to get it back. FML

Fuck a bunch of us! I have been on disability for a disease that kills the blood flow to my joints that has no cure except replacement surgery. I'm 60 with joints like paper mache and I'm supposed to show up for a janitorial job 3x a week for less than 60$ in stamps. For people with disabilities it's not worth it. Thankfully my local food bank delivers to the disabled.

I had a problem with my QMB (sorta Medicaid) status. My city has a 311 service, online or in app. I chose a category, typed a brief message including my city worker's name, and a ticket was created within hours. The next day it's been assigned to a worker. I can track it online. See if your city has this. Game-changer.

Check https://www.fns.usda.gov/snap/state-directory for your state website to try and re-certify. Your state will very likely reinstate your benefits ASAP if you go thru the website.

Every state is different, but I worked for the one in Indiana and will tell you what resources I would use. First, check the fssa website for your state, they should have resources to aim you where you can talk. 2nd Most have websites where you can check your eligibility status/reapply; they are designed to link your information on account creation so should find you when you sign up. Mine had reasons for why a person was marked ineligible. 3rd IN had a phone numbers with an automated system to

Check eligibility and apply/reapply. 4th. Walk into your nearest fssa/schedule an appointment. In theory walk is are accepted, but you never know availability and an appointment is more likely. 5th you have to go through redetermination for SNAP every 12 months where you provide all the documentation you need on initial application. Id start getting that info together, and start applying again through any of the above channels. If you get kicked off due to not reverifying info,

My ARFID sibling, I too have SNAP and it is a complete hellscape. I hope you get this sorted quickly. I’d go straight in to the offices tomorrow and wait to be seen to find out what’s going on and not deal with it on the phone. Take all of your UTD paperwork with you like bank statements and all that.

Have you tried lately? I just used the link, logged into PayPal, went to Send/Receive, and there was the "Pools" option. It could create a Pool right then, if I wanted.
