The on-staff chef makes amazing food and my parents insist on paying for my lunch every week. Recently the battery in their handheld vacuum failed so I ordered them another one and paid for it. #19 So I use Outlook for work and haven't had any issue with the search function. I've checked with some colleagues that have complained and I think I figured it out. I use the Desktop program, not the web version or the app. It seems they use different search tools and the desktop actually works. If you're doing it on your phone I got no idea how to help though.

Searching for an email that contains a search term works. Searching within an email to find something is miserable. Like if I know that John Doe sent me a PIN, but I don't know the PIN, I can find John's email, but not the PIN. Happened to me in an email thread that was hundreds of messages long.
