I got so used to the american english dub of Fantastic Planet that watching the original french edition with subtitles just feels strange to me. It's one of my favorite animated movies of all time.
Jiburi. R/L crossover is weird in Japanese (as considered by English speakers anyway), and phonemecists would be able to offer more info that I can at this point. Also, in romagi (one of the Japanese-English attempts at a sound-a-like transliteration), the H softens the preceding consonant. I think. Happy to be educated further by anyone with more experience of how this works.
They showed Secret of NIMH as part of the 80's animation ones, but skipped the one with Secret of NIMH, which is probably for the best. Fucking nightmare fuel, that one. It's "for kids" the same way that us having to watch documentary footage of concentration camps during history class in grade school was "for kids".

Yes. I'm guessing it was late 80s early 90s that I saw it on tv but it could 've easily been early 80s. It was one of those things you normally don't see as a young kid.
