Pippin tax!

Today's message from Pippin: "i love you!"

___

1) Are you on the run to a safe place and passing through Arizona on your way to safer grounds? My apartment is open to you to crash at, and it is a safe space. Pippin and I will make you a meal and gladly share tea, wine, or mead with you.

2) Hey! Take your meds with a full glass of water, please. Do it for Pippin, or Space Mom, or better yet, do it for yourself.

3) Ĝefeloað wē. We will carry on.

4) all funds from the sales of items at these two links will be sent to support charities aiding to fight for Trans rights in the US (not just T-shirts!)

#39 Kojima would be the only one ballsy enough to attempt something like this. Not sure the twist could be preserved easily in this day and age lol

#12 This assumes that machine rules were coded well, contain no mistakes, and don't result in behavior that appears to violate them when the machine "hallucinates."

Do you happen to know where one might find the video the meme is referencing?

As far as those huge lobsters, they're not good to eat. Heat takes a long time to penetrate the shell to the center of a massive lobster tail or claw. By the time the core is safely cooked through, the outer layers of meat closest to the shell have been boiling or steaming far too long. This leaves you with outer meat that is rubbery, tough, and leather like. Under 2lbs is the best to eat.

#9 I saw a lobster of this caliber in the Caribbean while snorkeling. Fascinating!

#16 things like these make me think of the importance of spacing. Like, the second part typically starts on another line, if not entirely separated into top and bottom text, but lumping it all together like this changes the way my mind reads it.

Punctuation seems to be a lost art. A simple full stop ("period" for the USians) would make the sentences so much more readable...

3 weeks ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

The lack of punctuation may itself be an intentional message.

#35 that is 100% a cult.

Also they're specifically polygynists. Just saying polygamy implies that the women also have multiple partners. I'm pretty positive it's just the men. Polygyny is basically polygamy + misogyny.

There really aren't many new age off-the-grid groups who aren't cultists.

3 weeks ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

they prefer the term self-help group!

3 weeks ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

Maybe they should self-help themselves to some critical thinking.

Utah? Extremist Mormons. Self-reliance, hundreds of kids? Huge government aid.

3 weeks ago | Likes 24 Dislikes 0

Yeah, like... 35 families and hundreds of kids? Fucken yikes.

3 weeks ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 1

Yeah, but "families" probably means "one husband and multiple wives" so hundreds of kids is not that far-fetched.

3 weeks ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Teeechnically if all those families have 3 kids, they qualify for "hundreds". It's probably closer to 4-5 kids per family, though.

3 weeks ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Yeah, I'm guessing two or three kids per wife.
