I crochet for fun but also when I get stressed which judging by how long it is. Yk how mentally ill I am .^. I never feel 100% but that’s fine tbh. Might as well make myself something.

I’m a knitter - I like to say that putting knots in yarn helps to take the knots out of mind

POV? Point Of View?

Yay! Crochet is the best. I love my project blankets so much. It really helps during very boring work meetings Over Zoom as well!

Crocheting is meditative, it is a good way to find some peace when you need to keep your hands busy!

You can crochet anywhere, on the lawn, in a park, at the beach

A lot of the kids at my school bring their projects into class and stuff. Pretty cool tbh.

I crochet when I'm feeling down, too. It helps to have a small, specific task that needs the focus to push the other shit out of the way.

That’s a protection blanky if I ever saw one.

I tried to turn my anxiety into this activity, but I couldn't keep track of how many loops I had done.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Will that be your halloween costume?

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Is it possible to drown in crochet? I'm worried.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

The yarn color you picked is a pretty one

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

time to yarn bomb the area :-)

Knitting during shows has been great for fidget hands

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Good on ya! Meanwhile all my anxiety does is vibrate

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Until she's robbing liquor stores for yarn money.

4 years ago | Likes 37 Dislikes 0

Nah just rob yarn stores, source: have been sent to guy buy yarn before for a friend of mine

Knitting really is the gateway to a life of crime no one wants to talk about. Wake up sheeple!

Be able to understand how adhd works..it’s a lot of autism.we are so amazing at lots of things! Sometimes we have isssues.love us…please..

4 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

Is adhd autism? I've always wondered if something was wrong with me or why I seemed different to others, and adhd seems to fit the bill.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

psych here: no, they're different diagnoses. Obligatory: see a professional, only they can give you a satisfying answer to that. But 1/3ish

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

also: Nothing is wrong with you. You just function differently than what society accepts as normal (and readily exploitable). Your 2/

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

emotional needs are as valid as everyone elses and sadly people like you are always -falsely- taught that 3/4(dammit)

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

they are the ones who are not only not normal but wrong. 4/4

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I see a creative and tenacious teenager. Don't let mental illness try to make itself your identity, we can see you shining from here.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I started a blanket for my baby when I found out I was pregnant. It’s not done. She’s seven now.

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Also yours looks warm and cozy

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Does having anxiety mean your mentally ill?

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Anxiety and depression are both mental illnesses.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I did not know anxiety falls in that category

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Guess you learned something new then lol

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I did. Thank you

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I’m a therapist! This is one of the most elegant and functional solutions to decompression . Today you are a hero !

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

My mom is being consumed by her anxiety and stress, it’s making her body and mind sick. Would this help? We’re low income so therapy is $$$

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Possible , but simple answers to complicated problems are usually wrong

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Does anyone ever feel 100%...? Honest question

4 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

in fleeting moments

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Psych here: You live in a world that's rigged against neurodiverse people and found a way to make that bearable - and have a blanket to 1/3

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

hide under when it isn't. Keep doing that. Find a way to fetch tea/hot chocolate/etc without getting out under it and 2/3

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

then you're basically invincible. (on an even more serious note: keep it up, everything that helps you feel better is legit.) 3/3

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I just got a set of crochet needles. Can’t wait to learn. I love knitting so I assume it’s not a big leap in technique

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Doing something like crocheting is mentally engaging enough to turn off the self talk in your head but not so engaging that you can't ¹

My grandma is 99 and crochets every single day

4 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Ok dumb question…how did you make the little baby 1? It cute.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

single crocheted the rest until i got 48 rows amount that it ended up being not including the 2 starting and end chains

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

and then i looked up a video on how to make a border on a single crochet project

Do you use the Imgur app? If so, HOW did you do the superscript?

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It's a thing that android phones are able to do. You press on what number you want superscripted and some options show up.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

¹²³ Hard press and release - thank you internet stranger. You have guided the way for a weary traveler.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I wish I had picked up something productive or interesting during quarantine, instead all I picked up was about 20lbs around the middle…

4 years ago | Likes 71 Dislikes 0

You can always pick up crochet. Super easy to do what the person in the vid made. It’s one stitch over and over and you just repeat

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I got a guitar. But I had to work so much (even if it was from home) that I barely have the energy left to actually practice

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I work a lot (RN). Off time I learned to build a computer & mod games

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I “picked up” a broken relationship, stress intolerance, mental health awareness cause of living through it, yay.

Eating is a legit hobby. Pretty sure.

Yeah I got really into craft beer. Why the fuck is it 280 IPA's per porter/stout/red etc in every store. Are they easy to make or what?!

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I’m not into beer but really liked IPAs for awhile

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Oh yeah for sure. I love me a good IPA. I just hate walking into a liquor store and its ALL IPA's basically. Gotta go to bevmo or somethin.

I call it the Covid 19. It's... not catching on.

4 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 0

Hey I call it that too. And I never even get a pity chuckle.

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Strangely, it's not coming off either.

4 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

If it's not catching on OR coming off for either of you... Why don't we see how it goes for me when I come onto you both?

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Lets say dinner @ my place around 6? Want to do it earlier since I plan on having my stomach bent over the couch later :)

I don't know who you are or what you look like, but I like the way you talk to me.
