So can billionaires and politicians that don't actually do things that help people. Are you part of either group, Pritzker?

I've been listening to this for 10 minutes now. Very soothing.

He's my governor and I do like him even though he is a billionaire. At the very minimum, I don't think billionaires should exist when poverty also exists at the same time. I am glad he is speaking up and I hope it is encouraging more people to do the same, but as others have said, talk is cheap. He has done good for my state but I feel like he could be doing much more.

Talk is cheap.

Sooooooooo... Are you gonna actually *do* anything about it, or just drop an F-bomb like it's a policy decision?

heh heh good one

I love it. Even if Freudian.

2 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Do you think he did that consciously? Or was it some kind of Freudian slip...

2 months ago | Likes 36 Dislikes 0

I would think more a case of camera angle being camera angle.

Haha that's exactly what I titled in in my meme library: "Mike's Freudian slip."

And get a good look at the side eye he gets from pee47 right there. Fucking hilarious

Ah, the ol Freudian slip, when you say one thing but really mean your mother.

Then it was something else. I'm pretty sure Mike calls him daddy.

Good message, but Pritzker is more talk than action, especially after how ICE abused Chicago.

I think in his case that if there was organized pushback against ice Trump and the Department of Injustice we've used as an excuse to abuse people even more

Bullshit. JB has done more for Illinois than any governor in my lifetime. What were you expecting him to do?

2 months ago | Likes 39 Dislikes 1

Illinois resident here - I was very apprehensive of JB early on, but he's proven to have a very steady hand as governor. He'll have my vote in IL as long as he continues on this way.

Same. Didn't even vote for him in his first primary. First to admit I was wrong about him, and I'm very glad I was.

I expected him to use the National Guard to protect the citizens and actually DO what he threatened.

Listen man, I probably wanted that too. But that creates a legitimate risk of civil war. And as much as we all say "hell yes, let's kill fascists," the reality is that would lead to an incredibly dark time. People would die, both in combat and via famine, lack of healthcare, etc.

I'm not going to tell anyone they're wrong for taking that risk, but I'm also not going to hold it against someone for trying to ride out the storm and hope we can start fixing this via elections.

I understand the desire to avoid said civil war, but what is the point of putting in their oath to protect us enemies foreign and domestic, if they dont protect us from the domestic terrorists?

The reality is, there had to be push back at some point. Even though technically we can peacefully protest, they are removing that ability. They killed Renee and Alex, plus many nameless others that didn't get huge attention, right on camera and in front of us. If civil war happens, they forced it.

Fun Fact: They ALL are! But, mostly because they have to rely on local law enforcement who will betray them in a heartbeat. Remember, local law enforcement gets overtime money for helping police ICE or participating in ICE activities which probably explains why not a single city arrested anyone from ICE.

The system has to come down, but also Vote out every GOP candidate at every level.

I mean, they could get overtime by following ICE around and preventing them from doing Nazi shit, too.

We need to vote them all out but if we want real change we need to vote in radicals at every level. Leftists at every position from dog catcher to president, and if a seat is open and there's not a good candidate, step up and run yourself. Let's shake shit up before it's too far gone to fix without a churn.

It's already too far gone. . . . .

2 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 2

Maybe, but I'm going down swinging, and I want to try it the civil way until it's no longer an option.
