Most people use codes to help you create hundreds of repeated shapes or patterns to make stuff like this easier.

I forget what the program is called, but there used to be a really popular mod that everyone used. Idk if it’s still around though.

Probably WorldEdit, which is still around. It cuts down the "placing blocks" time a lot, but this still requires a ton of artistic talent

Oh yes no doubt, but I feel like some people get discouraged by the thought of individually placing blocks.

Lightmatica or whatever also helps, it shows an overlay for where blocks need to go from a blueprint
