RIP Tony Bell, 83 years old and had clocked up a hella amount of hours on Age Of Empires II. Just wanted to cast the net and say THANK YOU to those that made this game. It brought happiness and many hours of joy to my late father-in-law.

Here’s one for Tony.

95 days, 20 hours
13 weeks, 4 days, 20 hours
3 months, 5 days, 20 hours

(FP ❤️ - how awesome, what a send off for an old gamer. I also now know these are rookie numbers for some of you! Ha)

I had something similar in FFXI. He needed a person to level sync down to, to level his job so he could go to a new area. I was the syncé. Had quite some jobs to help him out with, and suddenly, he didnt come online anymore. It's now 18 years ago and at the time, he was 78. He wanted me to pull enemies towards camp, and he sometimes joked I pulled to many, and he was having a heart attack with my hp dropping. 😞

I’ve asked around and no one is near this amount for any game… let alone for AoE II. Playability is out of this world. Thanks again team AoE.

I have 3729 hours in Binding of Isaac Rebirth and 2360 hours in Hitman World of Assassination.

11 months ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

11 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

3281 hrs on League of Legends, 1609 hrs on Civ 5, 846 hrs on Skyrim, 632 on Baldur's Gate 3, and 607 on Bloons TD5.

I have just over 2300 hours in Terraria, and considering my habits, easily 5x or more that in Minecraft, though I can't verify that because nothing tracks it

11 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

AoE2 HD is by far the best version. Definitive Edition is absolute trash. The man had taste

11 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I'm somewhere around 5000 for Command & Conquer Renegade, and a similar amount each Civilization 2, 4, and Hearts of Iron 2.

11 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Much respect. Last I checked I had over 19k hours on the one I play every day, but I don't have much of a life either way.

11 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I have way more hours on poe.

11 months ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Just hit 3030 hours and man how do I put in so much time just to suck so bad. Fun game though

11 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

4k hours in Arm and literal years in the various versions of WoW. Who am I kidding.. literal years in the original version alone. Gaming's fun, who knew, and good for your cognition (which I know, as a cognitive psychology major).

I have over 220 days in Gems of War, lol.

11 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I have about 2.4k in TF2, but haven't played since before the pandemic. Respect to your FIL

2,800ish in runescape, but that's over 20yrs of inconsistent play.

11 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

May I introduce my R6 Siege stats? And yes, don't talk about my stats... I play for "fun" since release on PC, never had a rank.

11 months ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

My AoE 2 hrs is 330ish but only had the game a couple of years. Who knows how many hours I put in on the original back on my old 486.

I have a few games on steam I have 2000+ hours on and I have over 20,000 hours on World of Warcraft.

11 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

AoE 2 was my childhood. I began playing in the early 00s and played all through my teenage years. I have no idea how many hours, it was a disk, not on Steam. My only comparable game is Skyrim, with ~4,200 hrs.

11 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I don't know what my Mount & Blade Warband hour count is as I bought it direct from Taleworlds, but I have no doubt it's many thousands of hours, far more than 2,300. I have 3,233 in Battlefront II, 1,800 in Crusader Kings II, 710 in Empire TW, 668 in Napoleon TW, 627 in GTA V, 466 in Kerbal, 456 in EUIV, etc. I remember it took me six months to complete Champions of Krynn on my C64, though most of that is due to slow disk access and looking at the exact same wall textures.

A life well spent!

Closest I have is 1800 on Baldurs Gate 3

11 months ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

though, I did just start my modded honor run, so we’ll see. That said, I’m already in act 2 in under 10 hrs

11 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

4000+ hours of Star Wars Empire of war.

11 months ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 0

Closest I have is 1600 hours in Baldur's Gate III and 2300 hrs is hugely impressive in any game.

11 months ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

I have a friend with over 17k hours in pubg

11 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I uhh...have more than that in binding of Isaac

11 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I don't play AoE II, but I've got like... 2700 hours in palworld.

11 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Reporting in for 3448 hours of Destiny 2 (though I've now retired from Destiny so it won't change at this point).

11 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Around 10k in rocket league myself…

11 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I have 2260 hours just on Fallout 4....

11 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

I play WoW and have some 1200... days, that I know off.

That's like 29,000 hours or something.

11 months ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Last time I checked my Minecraft stats it was at around 15,000 hours. And that was a few years ago.

11 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

lol dota player…. Those are rookie number.

11 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

DarkViperAU has over 13,000 hours in GTA V

11 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

imagine counting all the hours spent in the original game as well

but anyway, not to disrespect, but 2.3k isn't like incredible. it's lot, but there are games where it's fairly normal for people have tens of thousands of hours. Counter-Strike, World of Warcraft, Minecraft, Dwarf Fortress, Hearts of Iron... Pokémon.

11 months ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 1

Yeah I was going to say... AoE2 HD was 2019 so that's respectable.

AoE2 was 1999, if those were his main playing days, and that's likely when the game was new to him and he was younger and had more stamina for it... phew.

2500+ hours in Emily is Away here.

11 months ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

I see all these other games on here, and I'm like, "Yeah, those make sense."

But then you just casually drop Emily is Away. That's a real flex.

2842 hours in stellaris

11 months ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 1

I’m over 100 hours and I still haven’t won a match yet

11 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Paradox games have a lot of playability. I have 5600 hours on Europa Universalis IV, 1700 in Stellaris.

11 months ago | Likes 35 Dislikes 1

Yup. Got 3k+ each in HoI4 and Stellaris. Those are some time sinks, right there.

Was literally here to say "Don't look st my paradox library" I've got 2000 hours in HOI4 alone

500/+ days in FFXI, single character. I have multiple. 2100 in Path of Exile, 1960 in Warframe, etc. It's easy when I have no life.

11 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

183 days on one character in World of Warcraft. thats well into 4k hours. I do have other characters with over 50+ days as well. haven't even played retail wow in 5+ years. I don't regret it either. lots of online friends turned irl friends but I wont devote that amount of time into a single game again tho. There are so many games out there worth playing

11 months ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

I tried replaying WoW when they went back to. Vanilla. I got into somewhat. But what I really missed was my friend's from my first play through. Also, I could never stop leveling characters. So I was ok at it, never great at it.

11 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Over 20,000 hours in neverwinter nights.... I had no social life outside of playing online servers for 10 years.

11 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

There are plenty of people that are well into the 1000~2000 hours in Satisfactory.

11 months ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Yeah that’s an addicting one too

11 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

it eases the ADD/ADHD brain.

11 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I just started playing it, and damn... Yeah, that tracks. Err.. conveyor belts

11 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Hunt: Showdown players have 10,000+ hours at the top end.

Also I would say WoW players in general are probably way up there too.

11 months ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Yeah, I used to play and had more than that on one toon. My other two mains were similar.

11 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

5200+ hours in Hunt on one account... 2300+ on another...

11 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Don't know many Rimworld and Minecraft players to ask their numbers, eh? Still, sorry for your lost.

11 months ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 4

I don't play RimWorld much, only 3k+ hours.

11 months ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Between afking in Limsa.

11 months ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

... You okay there, bro? That's like 3 years at 16 hours a day.

11 months ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

The game has been out for 12 years, so that only averages out to three or four hours a day.

11 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Am fine been playing since 2014 lol.

11 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I’m thinking at that scale people don’t even bother to close the game, which inflates the number... and STILL.

11 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It's been on steam since Feb 18th, 2014, so if they've been playing since then it's closer to 5 hours/day. But also steam hours for FFXIV are basically useless. The game has a launcher and it counts just that launcher being open, as well as being an MMO so you can just go afk for hours on end.

11 months ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

I wish any of those hours were AFK but alas no, all active.

11 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

A friend of mine had over 3k hours on black desert. Apparently crafting only works while you are online, so he would leave it logged in and alt tab to something else while he waits.

11 months ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Yeah crafting, fishing, horse training, and even leveling (via dummy) can all be done AFK. I guess it helps Pearl Abyss inflate player numbers lol. It's not unusual for even a casual player to have lots of playtime hours.
