I'm pretty sure I could pull many many many examples of Christian organizations and practices harming people/children etc... Imagine the outrage if a politician actually tried banning Christianity (the completely imaginary "we're the victims" "war on Christianity" being a non-existent thing notwithstanding). Just replace every reference to trans with "Christian" and imagine how that would be received...

They are taking little bites because it is what they can get away with. They would outright ban anything they have a problem with right now if they could. And tomorrow they would find new problems with other subsets of the populations. And the next day. There isn't an endgame for them or a point at which they would stop trying to limit rights. They chose this because it is a small piece that they can get people to ignore. They will not stop.

The US doesn’t have as widespread a train system. Most of the trip would be by shipping containers and box trucks. Whatever infrastructure is in place for moving and housing livestock will become the means of transportation for moving out the unwanted, one group at a time. Check in on your neighbors, learn names, learn struggles, and be watchful for when people start going missing in the middle of the night. It starts quietly.

Not necessarily; they could "live" as an oppressed group, like black people. Slavers didn't kill *all* of the black people; they wanted some to stick around to act as slaves. They only killed enough to entertain themselves and to keep the rest in line, but they kept importing more from overseas because they actually wanted a good population of them.
