It was so much different here, 14+ years ago... I lurked about as I still do. But man, it was so much more unhinged when actual human beings ran the site... it was fucking glorious.

Supposedly it was a way to remind people to set their mouse traps or something along those lines. Buy some cheese and then "sacrifice" some to the mouse traps. Apparently people now use it as an excuse to try new cheeses or do a meal involving cheese. So I guess you could combine it with the National Lasagna Day
