Killed a rattlesnake last night, skinned it, will cook the meat tomorrow and update. Gonna make a hat band with the skin. Happy camper right now because I haven't gotten to kill one of these kind before!

Open sword carry Texas?

I keep it in my car for snakes and such. Easier to clean than a wooden club, and can sheath it for safety. Who wouldn't want it?

Are you a modern day Link? Sealed that beast in the darkness with the Master Sword.

No story ends, there are only new beginnings. I am and forever will be a "link" to the past

Snake is delicious.

Is it akin to frog or alligator? I’ve had both of those

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I'd say a mix between rabbit and chicken really. It's gamey, but doesn't have the swamp/watery taste like frog or gator

Interesting

Never had the chance to try snake, always heard it’s kinda on the greasy side.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Not really. It would be greasy if it wasn't a poisonous snake, you also have to clean the meat.

How does one clean the meat?

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Like after you take the fat and everything else off, you wash with warm water

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Ah, and that gets any residual venom out of the meat?

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

They have venom glands. As long as those aren't pierced or anything you'll be fine. The venom isn't in the meat itself
