In addition to my normal work load, I’m in the process of burning the original 150 Pokémon with a magnifying glass and the sun, maybe more! Starting with #1. I’m up for requests, which one should I do next? Also if you’re on the socials check me out, I’d appreciate it!

From one Smith to another, that looks amazing!

Bulbasaur is based on a frog (Anura). In particular, its short legs, stout appearance, and ear-like protrusions on its head make it resemble horned frogs (Ceratophrys). According to Ken Sugimori and Atsuko Nishida, the latter designed Bulbasaur working backward from Venusaur, meaning Bulbasaur was the last of its evolutionary family to have been designed and was also directly based on Venusaur. The bulb on its back resembles a lily (Lilium) or onion (Allium cepa).

Solar Pyrography! I have loved watching this for over 20 years, after observing a gentleman who would become a good friend "burn" an image 4 feet square in homage of the the Beatles. As far as I know, he's still burning in Key West, Fla.

Oh dang! My original 2 attempts are from 2003 so I’m right there with ya!

Absolutely amazing work @Op

Nah you’re amazing. Thank you!

I vote for a less often seen first gen. Goldeen

We used to do this as kids, using a magnifiying glass to burn popsicle sticks. The result was, somehow, not very similar.

Lots of practice and a much bigger, thicker lens!!

Bulbasaur used Solar Beam! It's super effective!

Dammit, I just made basically the same comment before seeing that you beat me to it.

Great minds think alike 😁

Actual question: Have you tried using different types of wood?

3 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 0

Like morning wood?

3 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

That’s my pickup line 😏

3 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Yes! Dozens. African mahogany, walnut, zebra wood. All kinds of colors but for a project like this it’ll save a butt load of money. If these end up selling I’ll do it again or go way past 150!

Love that you did the one from the trading card game! Looks great!

I printed and painted ol' bulby

3 years ago | Likes 49 Dislikes 0

Just think if you printed another one but it was modified to have holes to be a mini scent diffuser. Might be like this

3 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

That’s great!! I need space for a printer first and then I’ll hit you up for advice 😂

Do it!

Magnificent

Nah you are!

Awww

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I think the obvious choice to do is CHAR next.

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Oh they’re all done haha

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

That's odd, Solar Beam is usually not very effective on Bulbasaur.

3 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Great thank you! Legendary birds on list please

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Damn man, way more patience and talent than I have.

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Lots of practice but you’re talented at compliments. Thank you!

Awesome work. My legs hurt thinking about squatting that long

3 years ago | Likes 61 Dislikes 0

He's in a chair

3 years ago | Likes 28 Dislikes 0

From the squatting? Will he never walk again? :(

3 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

From the sitting, and idk

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

You might want to consider thinking about a stool to save you the pain.

3 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 2

Haha there is one! I promise

3 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

A small exercise ball would be pretty comfy too.

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

You could also look into getting “knee saver” from baseball equipment places. Great for if you have to squat for long periods of time.

3 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Play it again sports! Catchers gear is sweet and spendy. So soft, better than some actual knee pads I've purchased

Amazing the sequel

I got an Umbreon burned for my wife for her birthday and she loves it. It's very well done. Thanks again!

3 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

You’re on my list of posts!! Catching up on like 1000 videos 😂

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Oh cool! I'll have to show her when it comes up!

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Alright that's it I'm done yearning and I'm gonna learn to actually do one of these cool things my damn ADHD keeps telling me I should try, but like, only 7% of. This is so cool, dude

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Thank you! Wear welding goggles.

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I will be following in the footsteps of experienced people and that seems to be #1 on everyone's list of tips, haha. Will. Do.

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I do that too.

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

missed opportunity.. You could have done them in order of the Pokerap from the OG show.

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Hahaha and just played the .5 second clip of the ONE name being said. And put it on repeat. That’s not a bad idea……

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Except for pikachu.. Pikachu has to be a "who's that pokemon?" moment.

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I read it as: I bum stuff with the sun

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Perineum sunning?

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

That’s talent

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Thank you!

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

What shade lenses in the goggles?

3 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

5, but two layers.

3 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Interesting. It's been awhile since I used a magnifying glass like that and I remember it being bright enough to cause after images. With that volume of work ahead of you it's a good idea for sure!

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Definitely! I’ve been at it a few years too haha. I have about 1000 videos 😅

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

If you need an idea, that could have been popcorn.

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Hmmmm. I might have to do that!!!

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Are you wearing welding goggles? I'm guessing you can't look at the beam directly when you're working?

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Yep!! It’s like staring at the sun, just smaller. Bad for the retinas

3 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Lapras! What type of lens do you use?

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I have a few that I use, I might skip a few in the order and do Laura’s!!

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Hey it's my tattoo! Great job man! We gotta go Axe throwing again soon!

3 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Oh hey buddy!! Let’s get it done. I might be moving

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

NOOOOOOO! why would you leave me?!
