Booker! Catch!

That game has one of the best jump scares I've ever seen in a game. You know the one.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I loved the first 2 Bioshocks but this game has no replay value in my opinion and after I finished it I literally just shrugged.

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

maybe I'm in the minority but...meh, was my response

8 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 1

Username check out.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

The twist on that game made me want the time I spent playing, I thought it was stupid and not the best written.

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

I loved the game and the design of Colombia, but the ending was lacking compared to the other BioShock's.

8 years ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 3

I never did like the ending. I mean it was good, I just didn't like it.

8 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 5

Red Dead Redemption.

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I remember that I couldn't sleep because of the ending, I was laying in the bed and be like "....wow"

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 2

Honestly the plot deflated mid way through with the jump. once that happened stakes were dashed.

8 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

That game was a total letdown. Shittiest “twist” ever.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

now try typing it into pornhub

8 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

It's definitely got a story that wasn't written overnight, but as a whole it still doesn't come close to System Shock 2. That was their /1

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

Magnum opus imo

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Infinite was fucking garbage.

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 3

Will the circle be unbroken? By and by, by and by.

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Unpopular opinion time: I didn't really like this game. Mostly the gameplay was meh. Story was great. Characters were nice.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Amazing, beautiful game with mediocre, Halo-like gunplay and predictable story twist if you're used to mindfucks.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It's a fantastic game. I still liked 1 better though. Rapture was more fleshed out. Also, it felt like more than just a shooting gallery.

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

i remember playing the first bioshock and the realization of the deception...

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

I had the twist spoiled before I even had the game. Makes me sad, because it's a strong part of the story.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

play the dlc if you already played the original games

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I haven't played Bioshock 1 or 2 but I did play Infinite (loved it) . I understand the DLC might involve Rapture. Should I play 1 & 2 (1)

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

before getting into the DLC? Summer Steam sale is coming up.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

The DLC Connects infinite to Bioshock 1 and its best to play 1 before the dlc. Bioshock 2 is worth trying as well

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

i havent finished it yet. i got to where i got the water whip and then i just stopped playing. loved 1. 2 was too short. went to PC gaming

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Never finished it. They said I didn't have a choice but to give up the baby. It's been 5 years and I still haven't.

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

ok , now go for system shock and ss2

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Man that game went through so many revisions. Still good, but I feel like we lost a lot of cool concepts due to time restrictions

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I haven’t finished the first one yet...BUT I’M WORKING ON IT

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

my copy crashes every other time I save it so it's still unfinished for me too

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

would you kindly get back to it? I'd be curious to know your reactions.

8 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

I played Infinite first after reading the stories weren't connected. Enjoyed it immensely so I purchased the remastered versions of 1 and 2

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

during a Steam sale. Looking forward to playing them soon. In the middle of Wolfenstein: The Old Blood right now.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

This game was a genuine mindfuck

8 years ago | Likes 314 Dislikes 9

Yeah after the revolution time warp I got lost, but it was still a good game though

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I still won't go back and play. Started the DLCs & had to stop halfway through the intros 'cause it made me (grown-ass man) cry likea bitch.

8 years ago | Likes 24 Dislikes 1

Like who the fuck puts hotdogs and pineapples in safety deposit boxes?

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Too bad the DLC makes absolutely 0 sense with the story of the vanilla game and just create a shittons of plotholes.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Am I the only one that thinks the ending didn't make a lick of sense? (never played the expansions, so maybe they explained things?)

8 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

The writer decided to write about quantum mechanics because he didn't understand them. He didn't learn anything afterwards either.

8 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Meh, I didn't like the story much. The "alternate reality" part that a lot enjoyed seemed forced to me. Not necessarily complex, either.

8 years ago | Likes 24 Dislikes 4

My problem with it (though I did greatly enjoy the game and the story) is the idea that they left so many realities behind. All the things

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

They did and deals they made and people they spoke to may as well have vanished into thin air, making all actions before a reality jump

8 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

absolutely worthless. 3/3

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

My favorite was when the twins have a tally of how many times they pulled Booker from the timeline

8 years ago | Likes 533 Dislikes 1

Oh is that what it meant, i never really looked into a lot of the details. should go back and replay it.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Just gave you a sense of scope and futility of it all

8 years ago | Likes 38 Dislikes 0

I loved how i got the game pre-owned. Beat it in 17 hours and returned it for a full refund the very next day. Great game too

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 7

He never paddles

8 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 2

He doesn't paddle*

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 3

If you look at the water during that scene, it's full or corpse like faces.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

He doesn't row

8 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

He doesn't ROW?

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I thought they weren't twins. But literally the same person from different universes. One happened to be female

8 years ago | Likes 301 Dislikes 5

Yes

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

correct

8 years ago | Likes 131 Dislikes 2

*one happened to be male. The woman was the one who invented the dimension splitting tech and found her alternate sef

8 years ago | Likes 24 Dislikes 0

But what else is he going to call them? When he said twins everyone who played the game knew exactly who he meant, including you.

8 years ago | Likes 211 Dislikes 2

Aren’t they even referred to as twins until their reveal?

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

+1 for a fair point.

8 years ago | Likes 52 Dislikes 0

Yep, the details elude me now. But I believe he was looking for a companion just as smart at one point. Then decided that a parallel 1/2

8 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

universe him would be the best companion.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Other way around. Rosaline the female wanted to bring her male self Robert onto her side of the void.

8 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

Didn't know bots could comprehend a game's storyline, let alone have it's mind blown by it.

8 years ago | Likes 159 Dislikes 1

This time last year = look at the user name

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 5

That's the joke.

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

He said not sarcastically

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

does IMGUR auto-insert that "originally posted by..." now to identify bots?

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

The bot is just polite.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

No, that's in the bots code.

8 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 0

This was my post... Weird

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Also, BioShock 1 is better than any of the following games storyline/twist wise.

8 years ago | Likes 40 Dislikes 4

Bioshock 1's twist had my jaw on the floor. One of the greatest gaming experiences I've ever had.

8 years ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 0

Yeah, I honestly haven't been surprised in games or movies since BioShock. Infinite I was like, "bet I'm that guy... What do you know."

8 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 1

Sorry you missed the rest, Infinite is only on the surface about booker

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 4

Have you played the DLC for infinite? The final burial at sea was absolutely amazing

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

No, I would never buy dlc for a game if I didn't enjoy the game. Y'all making it sound great, but still that's gonna be a no from me.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

This is just a personal preference, but the story in that DLC topped bioshock 1 & infinite IMO

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Yeah I've been reading a lot of the comments in this post and most seem like they enjoyed it.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

again cactus?

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I'm everywhere!

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Yep. The whole you were the bad guy the whole time felt cheap in Infinite.

8 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 4

If that's the only thing you took from infinite I feel genuinely sorry for you, because you missed so much.

8 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 5

Its a cheap twist and it all falls completely flat. If you want to tell a profound story dont give it a shit shock value ending.

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 7

So you didn't play the addons?

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 2

Setting of this game is a lot of fun. But damn it has zero replayable value (at least to me)

8 years ago | Likes 257 Dislikes 19

I disagree I went back and relayed it at least several times

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

I enjoyed replaying it when I upgraded to a PS4, and sometimes I just miss Rapture and Columbia, so I play a little then.

8 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

I disagree

8 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 2

I agree. Beat it once and haven’t touched it since.

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Saaaame. I've been getting the itch though.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I Unlocked all achievements...and that's it sadly.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I felt the same way, didn't touch it after I beat it at launch...but it's been long enough I'm starting to feel that longing to play again.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Agree. After it was over I decided I didn’t want to be jerked around again ever.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

If the story confused you, then I could see why.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I played it on release but I can't remember a damn thing about the story. Probably time to play it a gain.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Good story. Levels are too linear compared to 1st Bioshock for me.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I smashed this game in one sitting while horribly hungover, 8 hours. Doubt I'll ever play it again.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I played it on the 360, so if I get on sale for steam I'll play it again.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I remember playing for the first time, in the beginning thinking the setting was really cool but also thinking "why are there only white (1)

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

people here"...

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Indeed, played it once like it well enough, later started new runs but there's no motivation when the gameplay is so meh.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Forgot the story. Now I wanna play again....

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

it had a little, because depending on your items you could play differently. that system wasn't NEARLY deep enough to justify more than 2>

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

>playthroughs, really. And even then...

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Play it a year later, you'll definitely enjoy it then.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

I played it on 1999 mode after I finished my first run, but that was it lol. It's one of those stories that stays with you though

8 years ago | Likes 79 Dislikes 0

Tbh, the story has stuck with me only because I thought the twist was super lame

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

I never finished the game. "1999 mode"?

8 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

While it can be enjoyable, replaying it made me realize the shooting/gameplay part is pretty mediocre for a FPS. When you're not carried as

8 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 0

Hate how harder difficulties just makes every enemy a bullet sponge. Makes the game so slow, but playing on lower diffs is just trivial.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

much as the story as the first time, it's pretty dull. I'm also still piss about the tons a feature removed from previous games

8 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

I've played it 3x including 1999 mode. First run through I barely used vigors what a fool I was

8 years ago | Likes 27 Dislikes 0

haha, same. I remember thinking it didn't have as satisfying gameplay, but I was just playing strangely my first time

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I don't like how they encourage you to mix your vigors for more powerful attacks but you end up spending half the gam in vigor select screen

8 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

No. I played it 3 years later and was entertained

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 4

Too bad he didnt point out that it was his own personal opinion...

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Too bad
