It's unnerving to see how far AI media generation has come. Yes, the narrator is good at pointing out the flaws... but most people miss them. And then they "like" this kind of content. Given how AI has progressed, these flaws will eventually disappear. And then... we're screwed. AI generated media will be so convincing that it'll become nearly impossible to tell. How can we trust anything we see?

So it's creepy AF that they will make a ton of the *same* vid, I think based on actual photos (because there's some interesting details in them) with the same scenario. There's a few out there of "penguin brings woman rock" that are a lot more obvious, like the rock vanishing/reappearing on top of the penguin's beak etc. They DO bring rocks to prospective mates so I wonder how the AI prompters got this idea to begin with.

I'm usually not a doomsayer but seriously, there is no way this doesn't get wielded as a weapon and just fucks EVERYTHING on the internet.

The thing with these AI videos is the much lower barrier of entry. No skill is required. Animating an even halfway convincing penguin on the other hand and compositing it into a video is a skill comparatively few people possess.

I fully agree. I'm sick and tired of the rumor mills... because rumors have gotten to the point where so many of them are politically driven with false narratives and conspiracies.
