Dan Coats was Trump's DIRECTOR of NATIONAL INTELLIGENCE - the lead Intel man in the USA - from inauguration until August 2019.
Coats had suspicions that Russian President Vladimir Putin “had something on Trump,”..."“how else to explain the president’s behavior?".
Coats is a former senator and "longtime pillar" of the Republican party. Coats was removed from the position because he kept reporting to Congress on Russian activities that Trump didn't want anyone to know about.
He was replaced by Trump sycophant Ratcliffe... who has been called "the least qualified DNI in the history of the position".
Ratcliffe vowed in his Confirmation Hearings to present all the Intel no matter where it leads. However, as of last week he announced that he would not longer brief Congress on Intel. He also fed an exclusive press release to FOX news with the Trump propaganda that the Chinese and Iranians (who verbally support Biden, but take little action) were the real danger - not Russia. Trump's mouthpieces continue to push this propaganda as part of a new effort to downplay Russian involvement.
