Is it me or does the wrinkled flag seem tacky? They should have ironed/steamed it.

The flag would have been unfolded when it was put on the casket, so it wouldn't have made sense to do those things.

I've never seen a flag put on a casket before, only taken off. Is it already folded in the triangle shape before it goes on?

Depends on the flag, although I'm imagining they are folded before they are shipped.
