No for a quick change as a spy you also need to let your hair down and put on sunglasses... you should've also kept the lipstick until after the covert op so you can quick apply it and then disappear into the crowd. This is Alias 101
She played Madonna in that Weird Al movie. At one point she just kind of shimmied to the music and her doing it was like 10,000x sexier than Madonna ever did it back in the day. Wood is a full grown woman, so it was just better somehow.
I love the dress (dresses?) but I can't help but wonder whether it is more or less comfortable to wear than either of the "original" dresses (that is, if each mode was a single dress instead of a transition dress).
Also... I feel like it's just a smidge too long in the second mode. She's going to get tripped up in in it rather than looking elegant. Either that it it's not meant to be seen full length when she's walking, only standing still.
Yeah but their base colors match the others shadow so one is white and yellow in dark like blue black. And one is dark but in yellow light. Same color combinations but different
As an artist with a special interest in color & light, when this whole dress argument happened, people seemed frustrated that I could not only tell what color the dress was, but I could see both color options / why people thought it was white and gold. And I tried explaining to people on both sides of the argument why the other people aren't crazy by explaining how light and shadow affect color and people just couldn't grasp it. This would have made it a lot easier to explain.
Jfc. I... am finally convinced. Pause the cut out when it's halfway. Look at the 'blue' dress, then the cutout. Now at the 'yellow' dress, and back to the cutout.
Thx. If I watched just the left dress, it didnt change. But if I followed the moving part with my eyes, I was sure they swapped the colors the "shadowed" part of the left dress. And that's even with being a photographer and knowing exactly how the illusion works.
Honestly change the s4 panel to half-drawn and you'd be right. S1 was fantastic as a standalone and a biblical-mythology metaphor. 2 was... acceptable main story but with a lot of fun subplots, imo, with the best MiB development by FAR. Then 3 kinda shat the bed and 4 was awful.
The thing for me is it no longer felt kind of moral/philosophical, but rather just a "whodunit" kinda mystery in terms of "who is who/who is physically real" for the sake of it. But afaik that's in part because Redditors kept guessing the plot twists and the writers got pissed and changed everything, lol
I felt the point was more an exploration of how much it mattered if someone was physically real. At what point did they become 'real' people instead of just facsimiles of people, how can you tell, and when is it even relevant. I enjoyed it.
my problem with west world was they thought convoluted story telling was deep and did everything to be pointlessly confusing. it worked in S1 but progressively got worse.
Unfortunately the reality is even dumber than that. The reason why they even went in that direction is because redditors on the /r/westworld subreddit made a bunch of posts where they correctly guessed/predicted some of season 2's twists in the storyline while the season was still in development, so the show runners scrapped all those storyline ideas and instead shifted to the convoluted mess we got. One of the more boneheaded decisions in recent television history, and that's saying something.
they made it unwatchable. you shouldn't have to read an article after each episode to have some guess on what you saw. putting a plot in a blender isn't deep

She's literally getting tripped up in the video! Pretty sure that's why she's shaking her head at the very end.

I still don't get that whole thing. Like... I never understood why so many mistook the color and then died on that hill.

For those who want to learn more about how light and shadow affect color, I can't recommend James Gurney's books enough, especially Color & Light.

S2 was not all that great either. I mean, not as bad as S3, but definitely not also "full resolution fire horse"
lostlittletimeonthis
First season is amazing then its just spinning around, it's basically who is who and does that who have free will? The answer will surprise you
Feralkyn
Honestly change the s4 panel to half-drawn and you'd be right. S1 was fantastic as a standalone and a biblical-mythology metaphor. 2 was... acceptable main story but with a lot of fun subplots, imo, with the best MiB development by FAR. Then 3 kinda shat the bed and 4 was awful.

S4 was what S3 should have been. The expansion of the scope from 1 to 2 to 4 is fitting to the theme, pushing the question of what's real.
Feralkyn
The thing for me is it no longer felt kind of moral/philosophical, but rather just a "whodunit" kinda mystery in terms of "who is who/who is physically real" for the sake of it. Fair, I felt that it lost a lot of that after s1 in large part, and s2 fully but that's just me
HerrHat
I wouldn't be able to tell the accuracy of this, because i never got to see the fourth season. It was a blink and it was gone
marsilies
So.. you're saying season 4 is good? I never got around to watching it.
