Didn't even need that. SuSE, Ubuntu, and Fedora all had PowerPC builds of their distros at that time; could throw any of them on a fat PS3.

I read about that. They basically linked a bunch of PS1s together and built a super computer for a fraction of the cost of a comparable computer. Pretty cool.
