Once you establish objective truth, further discussion holds no value because you can't get closer to the truth than the truth. If I held up a piece of paper and said it was red, proving this point by demonstrating its hex value was #FF0000, what more needs to be said? The page is red.

There will always be people who need to see every rebuttal answered before they can readjust their mental schema. I see no reason to not be more informed in the full discussion process.

It's way more insidious than that, posts just get deprioritized and are simply not granted anywhere the same reach as other posts. That way the original poster has no idea the post isn't reaching anyone because they, and a minute portion of the people they directly associate with, still see it, but no one else.
