Fun fact. Germany stores dont sell pre sliced bread. If you want it sliced you have to use this machine or have to sliced the bread at home.

It's like me carving the Thanksgiving turkey. "Sorry."

I think some stores still do sell some brands of pre-sliced bread, but it's rare and most don't have bread slicers, either. They rightfully assume that essentially everyone got a bread cutter at home and keeping bread fresh is easier if it's unsliced anyway, so unless you have a large family that goes through one load of bread per day, having an extra machine in the stores makes no sense to most people.
