The Savannah bananas the Harlem Globetrotters of baseball. They have their own specific rules and completely sell out wherever they go.

That's got to be a balk, right?

Everyone knows it's not serious baseball, but a show, when you play the Bananas. They make up their own rules and everyone humors it. Did a fan catch a foul ball? That's an out.

I love them so much, I can spend hours on their youtube. The Ump with the Rump is super popular lol

"My strike zone is up here!"

1 year ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

seems like a detriment to the strike zone

Still kind of supposed to be knee to nipple.

1 year ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

So older women have a smaller strike zone?

1 year ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

No, but it's probably a little dusty.

Why do baseball games take so long? /s

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

They were on 60 minutes last weekend

batter: what the fuck just happened?

I wonder if the Flying Fathers still play hockey?

They should go on tour. I would totally go see a savannah banas game as someone who hates baseball.

They do!

1 year ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

They don't! Tickets are hard to get.

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 2

They tour and tickets are extremely hard to get because they are scalped like crazy. The bananas tickets are only $35 each and that is a flat ticket price. No fees, no extra costs. Scalpers resell them for over $200

They are, they’re even using football stadiums. They played at Tampa Bay Bucs stadium a little while back. They also started ā€œtelevisingā€ on YouTube. My toddler didn’t care about baseball until he saw the bananas dancing and playing ball at the same time lol

Actually saw them on TV the other day.

They were at Raymond James!? I had no clue! That would have been awesome to see. I would love to take my kids to one of these games

I believe they are getting a deal to be on ESPN, who is ironically dropping MLB

I don't like sports but I watch them lol

Is this another of Imgurs promoted posts?

1 year ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

No. I think they lowered the points to get to most viral.

I want to clarify. The banana thing. Is that another of imgur corporate "show us your mug" or "show us your workplace" kinds of thing.

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It's national banana Day

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Probably because people figured out that the upvotes didn’t always determine ā€œmost viralā€. I would see posts with hundreds in usersub not make it, but some regular posters getting most viral with only like 10-20 votes. Thankfully, I’m not banking on fake internet points to do anything for me in life.

The people that have 10 to 20 likely had 80 points in user sub and then hid their post because it was falling off popularity. and then made it public again. It resets the points on the front end but not the back end
