Summoning a familiar is a significant milestone for any student of magic. It takes practice, and when unsuccessful, those half-formed attempts still go somewhere.

They get collected by a sweet old witch that takes care of the misbegotten wretches created and lost in the cracks where magic fails.

All thriving, and ready for adoption.

Some you choose, and some choose you, but bonding with them is always rewarding.

(made all these with the MidJourney Ai tool.)

Anyone have any MidJourney invite codes?

So is this a litter box or yard situation?

Shameful to see nobody has answered your question. The wizards of Riven are renowned. Simply put sir, depends on what you feed them really.

Hagrid comes by every year to pick up the oldest familiars so they have a home before the end

And or by the obvious reference made above it

One of the better uses of AI art I've ever seen; specifically taking advantage of its quirks instead of papering over them. Very impressive!

Thanks! Yeah there are some things it does really well in its current tech, and some not so well. Overall it can be a great place to start.

Beautiful concept... but all I could think about was this...

4 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

reminds me of how I changed one of the hags in the published 5e D&D fey adventure, I had her collect all the mean cats no one wanted :3

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

because she didn't care that they were mean, or they scratched her, they needed her so she loved them, even if everyone hated her and them

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

*Granted she had a cloak made from a little girl's skin whom she had put in a living puppet so not all good, but my players got her to put-

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

the girl back together, she still had all the organs in a pickle barrel, sadly the sentient barrel needed those to live, oh welel

others) home.

reminds me of the dog in "the Fly 2" - just more cute

The familiar was believed to subsist by sucking blood from a witch’s fingers or other protuberances on her body such as a mole or a wart.

Sounds like the kind of thing medieval fascist made up to make people disgusted with older women. Give people an excuse to get rid of them.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I want to love them all!

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I have two players who would absolutely die at this concept. May I borrow?

4 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Absolutely!

Exactly what I thought!

Unironically a Terry Pratchett tier idea. Could write a whole book out of this, and not just for the children's books wing.

Daaang, that’s high praise. Thank ya.

It's like it's an elder god was a cat. Adorable but also horrifying.

DALLE-2 AI generated images?

4 years ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 0

The internet is just awash with them right now, but they look beautiful. I wanna figure out how to do it too for concept art.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Yeah seems to be a bit of a queue, to get access to gpt-3 or other large language dataset AI.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Yeah i bet.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Did you even try googling midjourney? https://www.midjourney.com/

4 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 2

They tried but got lost midway through the journey.

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

yes, still got no idea about how/what & may I add thefuck. just buzzwords & poorly rippedoff classic masters names. hence the question.

4 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

AI generated art, it's an alternative to DALLE
