you know if it has only 3 wheels, a limited engine speed, and functional pedals (even if you never use them) then it's street legal and classified as an electric trike or a mobility aid and requires no license or insurance. i wouldn't suggest taking it on a highway but i want to build something similar for running errands. god knows i can't afford a car
