Nobody gives a shit about the thousands of other cell lines taken from other people of assorted races, as guidelines for the use of medical samples weren't established until the 60s. Lacks' family is good at PR and have extracted cash settlements from several companies including Fisher Scientific.
Because those are the ones that are easily relatable, easily believable, and repetition is a good reminder. Would you like them to go into more of the atrocities that have been committed?
