Have The Live You Voted For!!!

“They’re eating the dogs. They’re eating the cats.”

EVERY accusation is a confession.

They are already slaughtering wild horses...which is illegal. But, hey, just add it to the list.

ARTAX!!!

Or contaminated beef from Argentina that China already has declined because of health hazards.

To quote one of the Boss voice lines in Saints Row 3:

"Hotdogs are so last century. Pandadogs are the future."

Just waiting for it to be reality at this point.

Going by recent news, it might not be horse meat! It might be Argentine beef that has dangerous levels of chemical contamination. Watch your ground beef!

Y'all know you don't have to eat poison beef or horse meat. Beyond and impossible have a pretty good alternative.

I had horse meat in Italy with some lovely gnocchi and fried sage. No complaints.

6 days ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Joke's on you, horse meat is great and I only had one butcher who had semi rarely.

I love how he totally looks pregnant in the second panel.

6 days ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

No, Trump is actually saying: *YOU* will now eat horse meat. But Trump himself will definitely continue eating beef.

6 days ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Even better: contaminated beef.

6 days ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Horse? Ha!

6 days ago | Likes 32 Dislikes 0

More legs?

6 days ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Six or eight legs.

I've said it for years, the only people dumber than Trump are his supporters, and the only ones dumber than that are the people who think the Democrats are just as bad.

You gotta give it to him though; he does finish the burger and doesn’t spit it out/throw it away.

Horses have been a part of human history for some 5,000 years, slaughtering them is like slaughtering dogs and cats

6 days ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 2

What do you think dog and cat food is made of?

6 days ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 2

Uh... dogs and cats?

6 days ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 2

Atleast in the nordics eating horses was a pretty common thing until we became christians and the church banned it.

6 days ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

You can get it at stores these days.

6 days ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I got 6,000 years for horses (Britannica) , ~10,000 years for cows and *8,000 years for pigs and chicken. So from that POV, horses are more liable to being slaughtered than chicken...

6 days ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

eh some people will eat cats and dogs when times get hard enough, sure we got a special place for em in our hearts cause we have the luxury of being able to share our good fortune with em, but for some when you are starving meat is meat

6 days ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Wasting meat is a modern luxury. Eating old farm animals was commonplace in the past.

6 days ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Cows and pigs were domesticated long before that but we slaughter THEM in the millions. Are horses somehow more special because they can run faster and their spirits can broken sufficiently to allow us to ride them? Life feeds on life...always has.

6 days ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

How is everyone coming to horse meat? Sounds kinda expensive to end up becoming a substitute for beef.

6 days ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

No one is raising horses for meat; you are right. Beef is significantly more efficient. Most horse meat comes from old work horses or riding horses.

6 days ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Maybe from wild horses?

6 days ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Sure, also those.

6 days ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Wild horses. The government has rounded up tens of thousands of them, and has no plan for what to do with them. The Orange Shitgibbon is planning to sign an executive order to slaughter them and sell the meat.

6 days ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I seem to recall horse meat being food for dogs back in like 1950 at least according to some books I read as a child.

6 days ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Ngl, horse meat aint bad, it taste kind of like a mix between beef and game meat, some eat it in Sweden instead of regular smoked sandwich ham

6 days ago | Likes 41 Dislikes 1

We eat it regularly in Sicily. Taste is very similar to beef.

6 days ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It's used in some traditional Norwegian cured meats, too. For those who only speak one language, "hest" is the Norwegian/Danish word for horse.

6 days ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Iceland has it as well. Use it as corned beef (i.e. not "spam", but real corned meat).

I feel like it'd be more tough and leaner than beef. Is it?

6 days ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yeah it's a perfectly good meat, and I'm all for eating all the animals instead of letting them go to waste. Bad take in the OP tbh.

6 days ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I don't mind it existing, it's the implication that you just won't know what you are eating under this bs regime.

6 days ago | Likes 42 Dislikes 0

What did I miss with the horse meat...

6 days ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 0

Just don't eat Beef in the US for the next 2 years and you'll be fine. It might not be beef, or if it is actuall beef then its the 22 tons of stuff that got turned away at Chinese ports due to the shipment being tainted. Stick to turkey or chicken. Ain't our Dear President great?

6 days ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

i started only eating local meat about ~15yrs ago, It's better in a lot of ways, but at least if I get sick I know whose porch to leave the flaming bag on...

6 days ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Don’t eat lettuce either?

6 days ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Or blueberries. Or sourdough bread.

6 days ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Fuuuck, sourdough too?

"Product for ground beef" is an interesting way to phrase it. So... not ground beef.

6 days ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Just FYI for everyone: the beef is coming from Argentina, and is contaminated with a banned antibiotic, chloramphenicol.

6 days ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Idiotic timeline. Where does the cheaper tRump eggs come from BTW?

6 days ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Ah, that would explain this:

6 days ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I have not seen that one. I like that one. I hate this timeline so much.

6 days ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

That seems like a weird conspiracy, when they could just import beef from South America for much cheaper and easier than hunting wild horses. Especially when it could benefit his buddy in Argentina.

6 days ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

That's what the Orange Shitgibbon is already doing: importing beef from Argentina that's contaminated with the banned antibiotic chloramphenicol.

6 days ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

According to the article, they've caught them and are housing them in government holding pens. The problem seems to be that they've caught more of them than there are wild horses left (apparently) and they don't have a plan for doing anything with them after they catch them. But there is a specific part of the next fiscal year that says you can now slaughter the horses and sell the meat. It's not much of a jump to assume they want to start selling horse meat

6 days ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Ok, but why? Horses are way more expensive and difficult to raise, keep, and slaughter than cattle in the kinds of numbers, and again, it would be cheaper and easier to just import a bunch of cattle from South America. If there's any plan to sell wild horse meat, it's probably with the intention to sell it as a more premium item to countries in Europe where that sort of thing is more accepted, assuming they'd even want American horse meat. Also, what is this link? It seems weird.

6 days ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

They don't need to raise them - they've got so many of them in captivity they're basically out of room and have no plan to do anything with them. I think the thought people have is that they'll simply slaughter what they've captured already to solve the "what do we do with these wild horses we've captured" problem they have. I can totally see dog food being made with it
