Seems to me the future isn't written, and this country is what we make of it, and since politics is the only alternative to some form of autocracy, we should probably fix our political system, JUST MY OPINION
Every "rule" trump has created, and every object he named after himself, will cease to exist the second that he does and his name will be removed from every object. He will also need to be buried in a high security environment or the stench from all the shit on his grave will be overpowering.
I’m learning we always were, we just had a layer of moral cosplay before. But it escalated until there wasn’t a reason to pretend. But I warn other countries who are chest-thumping at their morality, there’s nothing special about USA. You’re simply looking at human nature where the rule of law eroded. It CAN and WILL happen to you if you don’t hold fast.
Blah, blah, blah. Don't think you can hide the U.S's moral decrepitude behind a claim "you are like this too" because we're not. You can't even hope to try "B,b,but you do it too!" when we don't.
I mean it literally holds true to the second another president decides the opposite. Unless he gets it passed as a law there's basically no way it's gonna stay a thing
One can hope, but plenty of people in positions of power are enabling him and benefiting from his grift train, and will likely continue exploiting for their own benefit after he's gone. The amount of rot & corruption he has allowed to unabashedly flourish is staggering.
And even then, it isn't permanent, laws can be repealed! Which is why it burns my biscuits whenever the press framed the BBBA as making Corporate Tax cuts "permanent"
Sweeping immunity for him to do whatever he wants Sweeping immunity for his family and businesses to do whatever they want
I'm getting cognitive dissonance, I know MAGA is stupid enough to support this, I know Republicans are corrupt, but how can a single person in this country think that anyone deserves immunity from prosecution for crimes? Especially the side that's constantly using criminality as an excuse to violate people's constitutional rights?
When you're a billionaire who has had everything given to them from day 1, you think its your god given right to be above the law and the way things are done down there, they are proven right all the fucking time. If you're rich, you can literally get away with murder. Hell, if you're a pedo, you could even be president!
"Easy, he didn't commit any crimes, never has, never will, and any attempt to claim otherwise is deep state fake news witch hunts in an attempt to harm our glorious leader!"
Hard to tell what's a propaganda bot vs an ignoramus given both herd together, but I've seen chatter on how he deserves this as a treat and if he can exploit this then it's just good business. Fools are tools for his grifting, and we'll likely see support for him still long after he is gone as if he'd done nothing wrong at the levels we see for the confederacy if not even more.
Seen the "Hey, exploiting people is just good business!" argument since 2016 so I can only assume at least some of them are indeed real (and very sociopathic) people.
I can't wait for the Republicans to launch a special investigation and ignore the precedents set by Trump so they can imprison a Democrat president for wearing the wrong color of suit...

So, what, Americans are genetically inferior as a people? What fundamentally is the difference between Americans and whatever you are?
Fentex
It's not genetics, silly. It's the culture - violent, greedy and corrupt.

Guys, the whole seasons of The boys are less corrupted than real USA.
And I think it started way before Trump get elected the first time.

They support it because the rules don't apply to rich white people. Even if they got rich by scamming and ripping others off.

What we don't realize, is that he is setting precedent for future presidents. We may never go back to a US that we recognize.
