I have. As a former baker I’ve also experienced Bread Wrath and I’m sure the gamut of other Bread Sins.

Passing by a commercial bakery, when it's going full throttle... oh. Amazing.

Those are Rohrnudeln (or Buchten), not bread.

They are as tasty as they look

There is a Colombian coffee shop near my house that serves amazing pan de bono. I have dreams about it. Not wet dreams though.

Why limit yourself to starched carbs? Just go straight to sugar indulgences. It's the same thing in your body (carbs are just turned into sugars).

Which, you know, is why it's a no-no foodstuff for diabetics.

Glucose and fructose are not the same. Table sugar (sucrose) contains fructose, as does (obviously) high fructose corn syrup. Starch is glucose. Starch is fine, fructose is not.

Tell yourself what you want to.

Also remind me what the name of those diabetic test strips are and what they measure. (I'll give you a hint: It's glucose.)

Looks like someone blocked me for correcting them. I have a background in biochemistry, cancer, and aging science. I've done thousands of ITT/GTTs in pursuit of metabolic data, burning through more glucose test strips than I'd care to count. Fructose is processed by the liver, and forces other metabolites through the pentose shunt there too. This causes metabolic syndrome and non-alcoholic fatty liver disease. Glucose is processed everywhere, it's the dominant energy source of all life.

I can detail EXTENSIVELY the metabolic differences in the processing of the glucose and fructose, as could anyone familiar with the topic. It's not my fault someone with 'Doc' in their name has their head so far up their ass on medical stuff they're licking their pyloric sphincter from the back.
