I always wanted to try absinthe but the ritual seems daunting.

It's an experience certainly and not as daunting as you would expect. The price tag was one of my concerns.

I kinda remember someone useing a gummy bear instead of a sugar cube once.

I'd be game. Things would get particularly crazy were it a recreational gummy bear.

Oh yeah. Way more potent, but more sweet like drinking black liquorice.

Oh no.The hallucinogenic properties were more from the crazy chemicals people used to put in when trying to pass it off as absinthe in 1800s
