Every single depiction of Satan (whether by name in the bible, or attributed to him after the fact) has him basically being an innocent bystander and God as the real villain. The first thing he does? He helps humans stop being ignorant fucks by eating the fruit from the tree of knowledge... the tree God put there just to be a dick.
And just look at Job for fuck's sake. Oh, and he offered Jesus some food and water when his 'dad' was being a cruel fuck and forcing him to wander a desert. etc.

We must be reading very different books/media... Dudes literal purpose is to prove to God we are not worthy of his (God's) love. Yeah in some stories all he does is provide the temptation but that doesn't make him innocent. Just like Trump isn't innocent of January 6th.

I always found that weird. Prometheus and Lucifer do basically the same thing, but Prometheus is seen as a good guy helping out mankind, and Lucifer is seen as irredeemably evil.
