Let us cherish those images as we won't be able to make many new ones in a while.

Good to have this video for my kids. They won't be able to experience it themselves.

So this is cool and all… but does it not make anyone else super sad that this is a thing because of all the melting from global warming?

1 year ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Yes and no; portions of the glaciers have melted seasonally cyclically since they existed, so you could always hear something like this somewhere.

...but yeah, the future(of glaciers and humanity) is depressing as fuck.

Pretty selfish of you to not want to provide us with neat videos just because it's slightly life-threatening.

See this is why I love the internet. Yes, yes I do want to hear what the inside of a glacier sounds like but I'm damn sure not gonna climb into a perpetually collapsing tunnel myself to find out.

My thoughts exactly

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Right? Like, sweet yeah you can drink that water from the 10000000m year old glacier or swim in Amoeba infested waters in South Carolina. Me? Heck you no thanks.

I never had the consideration that a melting glacial tunnel is in fact perpetually collapsing. Thank you for unlocking a nightmare :D

Imagine if you're in that tunnel and the glacier does that thing where it shears off... Then flips upside down.

This reminds me of...

This is how people get stuck in glaciers.

1 year ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

i was thinking, 1 slip, some rushing water or even thin floor and swoooosh down the rabbithole you go :>

Talking about this in 2055: "You see kids, glaciers are things we used to have before corporations decided that maximizing profit was more important than the continued wellbeing of the environment."

Well, at that point the world might be so fucked up that the sea current that warms up a lot of Europe might've died down, which would cause another ice age.
