I saw an extended video of this, and that woman was doing some real dirty shit, fucking punching the kid in the side of the ribs. Fucking bitch got what she deserved.

Got off easy, I thought.

"When I tap let go!" Listen here you cunt...

11 months ago | Likes 26 Dislikes 2

Lol. Tell that to Royce Gracie. He’d snap your arm back in the day

11 months ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 2

The face slap already should’ve been a warning!!

my HS girlfriend was like this in fencing. She'd use unconventional parries and attacks to humble people that were experienced.

11 months ago | Likes 88 Dislikes 1

My longsword coach is also like this. She’s like 5’2, and people use their size to attempt to intimidate her during tournaments. She just dances in and parry thrust.

The Wheels on Meals fighting style? To paraphrase SeanBaby he could not win in a straight up fight so he changed up his fighting style to “fucking around“

"Parry this you filthy casual!"

11 months ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I remember reading somewhere that someone's fencing instructor said the worst opponents to fight are a master, who has the benefit of however many years of experience and skill, and a complete-but-athletic-amateur, because you never know what the fuck they're going to do since they've never been trained to do the "proper" things.

There is a girl in my son's bjj class that does this. She is tiny so she never faces someone her size. From what I've seen, her strategy is to make other people hold her weight by doing an arm bar while they are still standing.

11 months ago | Likes 35 Dislikes 0

Fuck, my arm hurts just thinking about that.

Graceless arsehole

I would've broken his fkn arm. But hey, that's me.

My cousin used to compete in Karate tournaments as a teenager. In one tournament his opponent was repeatedly contacting him in ways that weren't permitted and the ref missed it. My cousin was getting increasingly angry and once he realized he wouldn't be able to win by the rules he opted not to try. My Uncle watched his face and said "He's really mad, and this guy is about to feel the consequences of ny playing by the rules". Within a few moments his opponent was unconscious.

The greatest example of a sport falling to technicalities and the letter of the law rather than the spirit of it.

11 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 3

A couple of general comments to address some questions. You don’t let go on the tap. You let go when the ref acknowledges the tap. Otherwise, people like Karen here say they didn’t tap. You take the pressure off but don’t let go. Secondly, it is not uncommon, WITHOUT HURTING THE OTHER PERSON, to send a message by holding on to the submission a bit longer than strictly necessary, to make a point that being a dick has consequences in an inherently dangerous activity.

11 months ago | Likes 38 Dislikes 0

send a message

Oh there are a thousand little ways to send a message when someone is fighting dirty. Holding a submission a little bit longer is just the beginning. E.G. when you get a hold of someone's gi's collar, you roll the knuckles of your hands in. or you stop softening the throw and just go full force onto the mat & watch 'em bounce, etc., etc., etc.

There is respectful fun sparing, and then there is the "Look here you little shit." sparing.

11 months ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Yep. My personal favorite is to just…. Let go…. At the apex of the throw. Followed closely by using pressure to force positions. Not submissions. Positions.

Bravo! Super impressive. She’s a killer

That’s a fucking child you creep.

11 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Put her head right in the trap.

11 months ago | Likes 39 Dislikes 1

Pinch those knees together and she goes out faster next time little fighter! Nice triangle!

11 months ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

bad mannered at the end there

11 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

OK, now lift her up and turn it into a powerbomb.

11 months ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 7

Thats where that “pull her head down” advice comes from. Keep pulling that head down, if the other person still tries to powerbomb, all that strain goes on the neck

11 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

As a smaller person, It isn't as easy as you'd think for people to pick me up. Especially if they're in a triangle choke. That lady was either gonna be put into an arm bar or go limp. A "Power Bomb" would be a tall order.

11 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

What happens if both just sit down? nothing? it looks so stupid to me. I know it yields an extreme advantage, but still..

11 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 14

Never underestimate a well trained small girl. They know exactly how to use your strength and size against you.

11 months ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

They never use your size and strength against you. I promise. Size and strength are why weight classes exist. They certainly can mitigate and nullify it, especially if you decide to do something dumb with your size and strength.

11 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 4

You’ve clearly never sparred with a tiny girl.

11 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I have a BJJ black belt, train MMA fighters, and have routinely watched women, tiny ones even, beat a guys ass. My point isn’t that they can’t fight well. My point is that in no way does that mean “using the opponent’s size and strength against them.” That’s not how that works. Size and strength are advantages 99.99999999+% of the time and cannot be “used against them.” A person can nullify those advantages, especially if the bigger stronger person makes bad choices.

Dude, she's 13 in this video. No.

11 months ago | Likes 39 Dislikes 1

About a child? No, because the rest of us aren’t disgusting.

11 months ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

That older girl is such a massive loser.

11 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It's more like 13 year old girl submits older opponent who runs head first into a triangle, the opponent also has leg control when the girl is in guard but elects to get in her closed guard instead of passing the legs. She clearly has no idea what's going on. Good for the little girl tho I guess

11 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 2

I think what you meant to write here is “especially since the opponent had low skill and tried to substitute being a massive cunt, good for the little girl.”

11 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

These fighters that sit down are incredibly annoying to watch. I'm not saying that what the older lady did was right but if you won't actually stand and face your opponent youre kinda of a punk.

11 months ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 84

This isn't a fight though. It's a sport that simulates a fight, but it's got rules, and jujitsu rules make sitting down like that a viable tactic. Karate and fencing and wrestling and boxing and kendo and every other combat sport have rules that competitors use to do things they'd never do in a real fight, because if they didn't have rules it would BE a real fight and people would die.

Wait... The triangle choke didn't clue you in that this isn't wrestling?

11 months ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 1

thats a way to fight like judo, karate, capoeira, cappucino... like playin chess: either you know how to react or not

11 months ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

So, fuck strategy, (especially 13 year old teen VS adult, fuck strategy).

11 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

🌸 You're underestimating the ground game. Sitting down isn't giving up - it's taking control of the fight.

Standing - you only have 2 limbs to operate with; your legs are busy holding you up. Further to fall...

Sitting down - 4 limbs to work with. Nowhere to fall & you use the ground as leverage.

Jiu-jitsu specifically teaches you both because in reality odds are; that first blow will often be unexpected and often knock you down. Especially if your opponent is bigger than you.

11 months ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 0

Watched a guy on YouTube train do a short while and just refuse to go to the ground in brasilian jujitsu… he won because it’s ducking stupid to get on the ground in a real fight

11 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

You've never seen the old ufc Gracie fights

11 months ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Oh man, that was literally the first fight I ever saw in Ultimate. He was badass.

11 months ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

It's just what works effectively. Seemed weird at first to me but when you see something over a decade stick around you have to figure there's a reason. I honestly wonder if there are any match ups where both opponents are just scooting on their butts at each other to start. Link me if so, that sounds hilarious.

11 months ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I'm assuming striking is not allowed?

11 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I was thinking she was taking away her advantage. Which wouldn't be a bad move.

11 months ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 1

Nah you see this shit in the UFC. I've even see two fighters do it to each other. They just sit down and drag their ass everywhere. Its not fun to watch and I sort of poor sportsmanship.

11 months ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 26

I don't quite get the poor sportsmanship argument. If you know you have an advantage on the ground, force them to come to you instead of taking an unnecessary risk by trying to take them down first.

11 months ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Then watch boxing instead?

11 months ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 1

Yeah, but we're talking about this 13 year old against someone bigger and stronger. In this case I thought it was a good strategy to take away her advantage. Who knows how she would battle against someone her own size.

11 months ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 1

God forbid a fighter put themselves in a position that gives them an advantage in the fight. Goal is to win, not to see who can trade the most punches. Personally I find stand up to be boring as hell.

It's much more exciting when the fight gets to the ground. Then the REAL skill kicks in.

11 months ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 2

I don't know the rules enough to be mad at the face push. Sure I'd be mad if someone pushed me in the face during a fight, allowed or not. But, it is a fighting contest, hello?

11 months ago | Likes 24 Dislikes 9

It scans, at the very least, as unsportsmanlike conduct. Take them to the fucking mat with grace, and show them that you don't have to be a dick to win.

"Sink or swim" indeed.

11 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Should be a dq from the match and a warning from the ref. This lady is doing all this crap bc she's been allowed to get away with it. Which makes me question how well the refs are doing their jobs or the organization as a whole works to keep this kind of stuff from happening.

11 months ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

I've thrown you an updoot, I didn't know either as I don't watch any of this, so why someone downvoted you I don't know.

11 months ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 2

It's a fighting contest with agreed-upon rules. If you're in a boxing match and someone kicks you in the groin, that's unfair because you were reasonably expecting it to not happen.

11 months ago | Likes 34 Dislikes 1

So I take it that wasn't allowed?

11 months ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

Sasha the Shark (the girl) is an IBJJF competitor, so I assume this was one of their sanctioned events. By IBJJF rules, shoving someone's face with your hand or foot is illegal.

so, shouldnt the ref have immediately disqualified them for breaking the rules immediately?

11 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I thank you for the information. I retract my sentiment knowing it isn't allowed.
