Just a victory dance by Zsolt Hegedűs in Hungary :)

Apr 13, 2026 11:35 PM

He’s one of the key figures in Péter Magyar’s team and a leading candidate for Hungary’s health minister.

A top orthopedic surgeon, he spent years working in leading UK clinics before returning to Hungary in 2015 to reform the healthcare system. He is now developing Tisza’s healthcare reform plan

Dancing is hard in non dancing shoes. This dude grooves.

Looks like he listens to Jump and Hardcore, perhaps with some Hard Bass

Is that a eurodance version of "The Hanging Tree" from The Hunger Games movies playing? I don't like it one bit, but it's the perfect fit for "eastern european country celebrating the end of a right wing government".

Wait... Putting a surgeon with medical experience in charge of healthcare? Why not a brain worm eaten conspiracy theorist?

3 months ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Fuck fascism. Good for you Hungary.

So that’s what a dance on stage should look like! Not like you’re weakly tossing off two hobos.

As fun as this might seem, Peter Magyar was a member of Orbam's party, only ronquit after he found out his wife was mixed up in a scandal.

Apart from sucking Putin's peepee, he is still very judh right wing and against LGBTQ.

Out with a fascist
In with a zionist.
Lose / Lose

3 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 2

Is he? I know he’s far from great; social conservative, anti immigration, and not even that pro helping Ukraine (despite being much more EU-friendly), but I hadn’t heard about him being a Zionist before :(

3 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I've seen him being supportive of Israel in their genocidal war. He is jewish. I assume that means he is a zionist. But it is my guess based on that.

Hopefully Belarus can kick their putin lover out of office as well

3 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Looks like he's "fit" for the job :D

3 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I wonder if he can dry the swamp of corruption in the healthcare system because handing over money is really an accelerator in that system.

❤️❤️❤️

I find myself wishing I could send him a letter of congratulations and a bottle of good slivovitz.

Let's drink a Pálinka to that.

3 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

He's not an alcoholic white supremacist? He can't be qualified for this position

3 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

still a lot better than double jerking off imaginary cocks

Hegedũs dūs dūs shake pineapple push the tree…

3 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Oh noe but Vance was so so so invested in turning this the other side.

My great great grandmother was Hungarian. If the language wasn't so difficult I would probably consider moving there.

3 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

There are far better places in Europe to move to. Make no mistake - just because Orban is gone doesn’t mean Hungary is all of a sudden going to be all progressive. This dude is less of a corrupt fascist, but not much more…

3 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

He's got the moves like Magyar.

3 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

People who are pro democracy dance way better than fascists. That is a fact.

3 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Fuck Orban with a rusty hedgehog and a massive hooray to Hungary for finally ousting one of the most vocal European fascists! That said, it's sad that his regime is replaced by a "center to right wing" party. Yet again, the rich elite hedge their bets and get the policy they want. What I wouldn't give to see an actual left wing government somewhere in Europe...

These young kids and their hippie dancrs.

I'm green with envy. Fuck this timeline, fuck what we've allowed ourselves to become. God damn I need some good news. Like, don't get me wrong, I'm celebrating with them, just wish we were in the same boat.

Hopefully the other guy doesn't pull a Trump and refuse to step down

3 months ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

He admitted defeat already early on Sunday night, long before all votes were counted, which I assume he wouldn’t had done if he’d want to try to cling to power, but who knows

3 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

He still has a lot of power and a far right organization with reach wider than Hungary. Hopefully Magyar won't backslide and some further left folks will pull them closer to center. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LykbTn_sS4o

So happy for the Hungarian people!

Curious, why did they put up with Orban’s shot for so long?

3 months ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 1

Their country was probably way too big. The distances too vast. And don't get me started on the size of Texgary.

3 months ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

(to add to the others' comments): There wasn't a proper opposition force that could've stood up to Orbán. Anybody on the left that tried, ended up with getting into a coalition with the Old Guard of democratic parties, which EVERYONE hated.
Péter's biggest positive is that he never wanted and never tried to, he'd have lost 2/3 of the votes if he did

He also did the legwork, he went and met the people (and it lead to changing him to the better). No other party has put in this much effort, ever

3 months ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

But ofc, the fact that there was a proper opposition is key!!

3 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I can’t help to think that Orban’s relationship with Trump, his and his govt’s anti-Ukraine stance and his pro-Israel politics all together helped to push people over the edge, and that that’s one of the reasons people voted in record numbers.
Ofc there’s the fascism and corruption and pro Russia anti EU stuff that’s the main reason, but I think being friends with 3 genocidal world leaders didn’t exactly help…

3 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

As a centralist, I'm afraid this is not as much a factor.. I know, from a genocides point of view, this is abhorrent. We have ties to all of those nations economically, and culturally, so a lot of hungarians are in a positive view with these countries.

The Israel-Gaza situation is barely heard of, over here. Left-leaning folks are the only group that really seem to care. Not as if it's not important, but it's not "our issue". Good thing though the new PM re-joins us to ICC nonetheless

3 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

He won big once and rewrote the constitution and packed the courts and gerrymandered the fuck out of the country.

3 months ago | Likes 22 Dislikes 0

Thanks, I couldn’t remember exactly

3 months ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

And he controlled all the State Media. Orban literally wrote the Book Trump is using. Win the Election, controll all the Media, and grift the heck out of the country by nepotism. And thats the Reason why JD Couchboy was there to help Orban.

3 months ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

Yea basically what Trump is trying in the US.

3 months ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Has done. The US is not coming back from this... I will not live to see us as powerful and prosperous again as we were in 2015.

3 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Nah, the whole civilized world knows it's just the orange. As soon as some house cleaning is done restoring relations will most likely be relatively easy.

3 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

The world may recognize us again, but the institutional destruction of the United States is complete.

3 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

We were told Orban was a "dictator" but then he lost the election, conceded defeat, and went away. Weird... it's like that word doesn't mean anything.

3 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 3

Oh look, the dude who thinks Ukranians are nazis and russia are just saving the population by genocide is a supporter of Orban, WEIRD!

3 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Jesus Christ. Orban literally rewrote election laws to keep himself in power for 16 years. He declared a state of emergency in 2015 and never dropped it.

3 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Tell it to Zelensky, who banned opposition parties; tell it the Romanians who had their elections vetoed by the EU. These fake critiques of Hungary's democratic record ring COMPLETELY empty when we see what the West is really doing, which is doing proxy war with Russia.

3 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Zelensky didn't ban the concept of opposition parties you doorknob. He suspended parties that were associated with Russia. You know, that country that is currently trying to wipe them off the map?

There are still opposition parties in Ukraine. But you'd have to get your news from somewhere other than Putin's ass to know that.

3 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Word salad, and more fake support for democratic outcomes in Eastern Europe by espousing anti-democratic actions and then blaming the internal contradictions and hypocrisy on Russia's behavior.

3 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

"Russia's behavior" You mean launching the largest land war since WW2?

You make it sound like they said a bad word.
