Not quite the same thing but way back in the day I had my name referenced in a security patch for Livingston Portmasters because I found a problem no one had uncovered before and I wouldn't stop calling tech support until they acknowledged it. I only found out about it later because someone else in the industry had the same issue and Livingston mentioned my name when helping him install the patch.
