Amazing! Fun facts: the symptom of Tourette's that causes those afflicted to be profane is called Coprolalia and it only affects ~20% of people with Tourette's.

Coprolalia translates to shit talk.

Probably didn't fool them, but a great performance.

Great card manipulation, but the nerves got him on a few fake shuffles, and you can the "move"

Is the algorithm promoting these clips for a reason? Ive had a bunch appear on YouTube. Yes, they keep promoting because I keep watching, but I hadn't seen any for a while and now transferred here too.

You can see he wasn't fooled but the smile showed he was enjoying the show. Often that is worth more. It means they liked the act.

His voice sounds like Hank Hill x Johnny Cash

The large majority people with tourrettes don't have the verbal outbursts that most people associate with being tourrettes.

Billy Eillish gave a pretty good "natural demo" of her own Tourrette's tics during an interview with David Letterman. https://youtu.be/dpB1MB-0vuc

I ain't watching that because I'm to the point that I don't tic anymore unless I'm seeing someone else doing it.

Yes, but...

I'll never forget the day my college tennis doubles opponent with tourrettes blurted out "Jack off! I jack off!" as his partner was getting ready to serve.

He was also a very good tennis player.

My point was that most people don't have coprolalia, but unfortunately that was most people think when you say Tourette's. Completely under representing the large majority of people with it. Though thinking about it in confused with it being called coprolalia when a coprolite is a fossilized poop.

A boy at my high school had tourettes and one of his tics was "I had sex with a hot dog!", which was a class favorite

I would not have been able to contain my laughter at that outburst. Lol

I did have to ask his partner to hold up on his serve for a few seconds while I composed myself

They won't get fooled again

Guitar and drum solo

probably not, even I could catch a couple "fake shuffles" in there. Of course, this doesn't take anything from the performance, he's great.

Spoiler, he did not. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=04i3LRPmIgQ

I've only seen a couple card mechanics fully 'fool them', so I doubt it - a lot of CMs are on to show just how clean they can be.

I have to comment - I am not a huge magic fan, but this one is my favorite on Fool Us. Dani is just great at the trick and entertainment. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5_KcQt0z-eE

Man, that was fun above all else. Just great persona.

I had not seen that one yet. But when Penn tells you repeatedly your act is the greatest, you did something very well.

The magic trick I want to see: Penn and Teller vanish. Maybe they can go on one of Musk’s rockets to Mars

1 week ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 14

Why do you hate Penn and Teller?

1 week ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 3

Wait, what I miss? P&T are Muskrats now?

1 week ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Definitely not.

1 week ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 2

Any particular reason or just general dislike?

1 week ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

They’re libertarian assholes who, among other things, advocated for tobacco company messaging on secondhand smoke

1 week ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 6

Penn has renounced libertarianism.

1 week ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 2

Convenient of him to do so after he made his entire livelihood off of it.

1 week ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 6

Penn at least split from libertarians during COVID when the rest of them went hard against public health safety measures like masks and vaccines. Teller still describes himself as libertarian, but doesn't run with the larger party because they're psychotic (he says he cares the most about liberty, but doesn't confuse it with psychosis).

A libertarian who doesn’t call themselves a libertarian because of the negative association with the word? Now I’ve seen everything.

Both still believe in the core libertarian principle: “Wahhhh I don’t wanna pay taxes!”
