Because we live in a society and interacting with other human beings is essential. It's fine to be an introvert, but don't lose perspective.
While this may be true, forcing someone to be uncomfortable doesn't help anyone.
The zone is for socializing. If you don't like it, leave the zone.
We don't always have a choice in the matter.
Then grow up and recognize that social settings are for socializing and deal with it until you can go home.
Cuz the only time we ever have to deal with extroverted people is in social situations, sure.
And turning the tables to reverse the situation and spite nice people who like to talk by default is even more ridiculous than that.
We are not asking to reverse the situation. Sometimes extroverted people do not know when to stfu.
"We're not trying to spite extroverts, we just want to insult them for it." The solution is still communicating with other human beings.
(For the record, I'm something of an introvert myself. I just can't stand the pity party about it and treating extroverts as the enemy.)
thatlamer
Lack of comfort with a situation is usually due to unfamiliarity, and sustained exposure is one of the best ways to become more comfortable.
eggmuffin
Familiarity is not the issue. I get tired from just being in a room with more than one other person. Any interaction is exhausting.
That is certainly NOT introversion. That's a real issue/illness and you should probably address it with a professional.
I am eternally uncomfortable being around people. Even talking to my best friend make me sweat. And I do that every day.
Sounds like you're not necessarily introverted but have a psychological issue tbh.
Severe anxiety is not introversion, even if anxiety causes you to be an introvert. I would talk to a doctor about it. Anxiety was ruining me

Whilst I'm completely different, I'm upvoting because at least someone understands the definition of the terms
DeadHamster
I will when I'm drunk
thevortexmaster
Why does imgur always have a hate on for extroverts?

Never seen that before
whitter86
Don't bother trying to rationalize, you are outnumbered and majority rules this site
Fistouille
Because many imgurians are introverts and would like to live their life that way. Personally I think I'm both so I understand both sides
Shitheid
It’s a scale not a either/or system.
TheDrunkenWrench
They assume that enjoying social interaction makes you an idiot and that they're smarter/better than you. Then the circlejerk starts.
DildoRodeo
Because they're timid morons irl and champions if justice and equality on the keyboard.
destinoz
What would you expect form people that get anxiety from the idea of talking on the phone and dislike sunlight?
chimpo64
Doesn't everybody?
thevortexmaster
Although it's pretty easy to see when someone doesn't want to talk.
IWouldLikeToGetOffThisRideNowPlease
I’ve been a captive audience enough times to tell you that you are among the gifted few who can

"Extroverts bad" [Bleep] off, stop making silly generalisations and spreading mistruths.
LurkerMcLurkface
There's an easy solution: over-ear headphones.
ElbowDeepInAJedi
When you know an introvert long enough they will tell you.
potshot
I typically don't see it as justifiable to be required to build a meaningful relationship just to engage in basic communication.
Raventhief
So there are places called "libraries".
IReactToCommentsInMemesAndGifs
Where? Do you mean Google?
DisgruntledFerret
Because we live in a society and interacting with other human beings is essential. It's fine to be an introvert, but don't lose perspective.
slinkiisu
While this may be true, forcing someone to be uncomfortable doesn't help anyone.
EarthDragon2189
The zone is for socializing. If you don't like it, leave the zone.
slinkiisu
We don't always have a choice in the matter.
EarthDragon2189
Then grow up and recognize that social settings are for socializing and deal with it until you can go home.
slinkiisu
Cuz the only time we ever have to deal with extroverted people is in social situations, sure.
DisgruntledFerret
And turning the tables to reverse the situation and spite nice people who like to talk by default is even more ridiculous than that.
slinkiisu
We are not asking to reverse the situation. Sometimes extroverted people do not know when to stfu.
DisgruntledFerret
"We're not trying to spite extroverts, we just want to insult them for it." The solution is still communicating with other human beings.
DisgruntledFerret
(For the record, I'm something of an introvert myself. I just can't stand the pity party about it and treating extroverts as the enemy.)
thatlamer
Lack of comfort with a situation is usually due to unfamiliarity, and sustained exposure is one of the best ways to become more comfortable.
eggmuffin
Familiarity is not the issue. I get tired from just being in a room with more than one other person. Any interaction is exhausting.
ilovepommes
That is certainly NOT introversion. That's a real issue/illness and you should probably address it with a professional.
slinkiisu
I am eternally uncomfortable being around people. Even talking to my best friend make me sweat. And I do that every day.
potshot
Sounds like you're not necessarily introverted but have a psychological issue tbh.
thatlamer
Severe anxiety is not introversion, even if anxiety causes you to be an introvert. I would talk to a doctor about it. Anxiety was ruining me
